Arc Raiders Field Crates Explained—Haul Smart, Not Hard

What’s up Raiders! You’ve made it through “Off the Radar” and now Shani’s got a new quest for you: “Down to Earth.” Sounds peaceful, right? Ahahaha! Wrong! This one’s all about Field Crates—those big silver boxes that look like they were dropped from orbit and left behind like someone forgot their space luggage. Your job? Pick one up, carry it to a supply station inside a Field Depot, and pray no one’s watching you do it.

What’s a Field Crate?

Field Crates are chunky silver containers that spawn near Field Depots. You’ll need to find one and deliver it to the machine inside the depot to complete “Down to Earth.” Sounds simple. It’s not. You’re slow, exposed, and probably being watched by someone with a sniper rifle and a grudge.

Important note: You have to do this in a single round. No checkpoint cheese, no respawn forgiveness. If you die mid-haul, it’s back to square one.

Where to Start: Dam Battlegrounds

If you’re new to crate runs, Dam Battlegrounds is your best bet. It’s got manageable terrain and predictable spawn points. One of the easiest depots to use is the one between Water Towers and Electrical Substation. That depot has four nearby crate spawns:

  • Inside towers at Water Towers
  • Base of hills east of Electrical Substation
  • North building of the substation
  • (Sometimes) tucked behind terrain near the depot itself

Pro tip: Use your binoculars. You get them just for accepting the quest, and they’re perfect for spotting crates without walking into a trap.

How to Actually Deliver a Crate

Step one: clear the area. Don’t even think about grabbing a crate until you’ve dealt with bots, rival Raiders, or anything else that might ruin your day.

Step two: grab the crate and move fast. You’ll be slow, so plan your route before you pick it up. If you’ve got allies, have them run escort. If you’re solo, use terrain to break line of sight and avoid open ground.

Step three: slot the crate into the supply station machine inside the depot. Once it’s in, the machine will spit out a reward box next to it.

Bonus tip: You can do this multiple times per run if you find more crates. Just don’t get greedy. The second you start thinking “I can grab one more,” someone’s already lining up a shot.

What Do You Get?

Besides the satisfaction of not dying mid-delivery? You’ll earn:

  • A pair of binoculars (just for accepting the quest)
  • A Combat MK.1 augment
  • A Medium Shield

Not bad for a glorified delivery job.

Final Word: Haul Smart, Not Hard

Field Crates are Arc Raiders’ way of testing your patience, your pathing, and your paranoia. They’re worth the effort—but only if you treat every run like someone’s watching. Because they probably are, through a scope.

You’re chance to lug a silver box across a battlefield like your 4k pixel life depends on it (because it does) is here. So, better get good at either delivering or escorting, cause you’re going to need it!
