One key extracts your entire squad, but the hatch only stays open for a short window. So if you’re using one, stick together and communicate.

How to Get Raider Hatch Keys

There are three main ways to get these keys, and each comes with its own trade-offs:

1. Buy from Shani (Security Trader in Speranza)

• Cost: 9,000 Coins
• Unlocks at: Level 12
• Limit: One key per 24 hours

This is the fastest method, but it’s pricey. If you’re sitting on high-value loot and want a guaranteed exit, it’s worth the coin. Just make sure you’re not blowing it on a casual run.

2. Craft at Your Utility Station

• Requirements:
  • Utility Station upgrade (50 Plastic Parts + 6 ARC Alloy)
  • Crafting cost: 1x Advanced Electrical Component + 3x Sensor Parts

Crafting is cheaper long-term, but you’ll need to invest in your workshop first. Once unlocked, it’s a reliable way to stock up—especially if you’re running high-risk quests.

3. Loot or Steal from Other Players

• Keys can drop randomly from loot containers or be scavenged off downed Raiders.
• If the key’s in their Secure Pocket, you won’t get it. But if it’s in their backpack? It’s yours.

This method’s chaotic but viable. If you’re already hunting players near extraction zones, check their bodies for keys before you bail.

Best Practices for Using Hatch Keys

• Store it in your Secure Pocket until you’re ready to use it. That way, if you die mid-match, you won’t lose it.
• Don’t use it early. Hatch Keys are best saved for high-value runs or quests where extraction is critical.
• Stick with your squad. One key opens the hatch for everyone, but the timer’s short. If someone’s looting while you’re activating, they’re getting left behind.
• Know your map. Raider Hatches are often tucked away from main POIs. Learn their locations so you’re not scrambling when the timer’s ticking.
