You’ve hit the “Off the Radar” quest and suddenly the game expects you to be part scavenger and part cartographer because you now have to find Field Depots! Geez, let’s brush off the ol’ compass here because Arc Raiders doesn’t exactly hand you a map with big red Xs on it. Instead, it drops vague objectives like “repair a Field Depot antenna” and leaves you to figure out what that even means. So let’s break it down.
Field Depots are scattered structures across Arc Raiders’ maps—think retro RVs (how retro we talking here?) with radar towers and a sad little blue tarp on top (I call it character). They’re not marked on your map until you’re close, and they’re tied directly to the “Off the Radar” quest. Your job? Find one, climb up, and repair the antenna on the roof.
Sounds simple. Yeah, it’s not. These depots are often tucked into high-traffic zones, surrounded by bots, rival players, or both. But if you manage to fix the antenna, you’ll unlock a supply station inside the depot—and that’s where the real fun begins.
If you’re just starting out, Dam Battlegrounds is the best place to hunt. Here are the most reliable Field Depot locations:
Each of these spots has a depot that can be repaired for the quest. Just remember: the closer you get to high-tier loot zones like Hydroponic Dome or Power Generation, the more likely you are to run into trouble. If you’re rolling solo, stick to the outer edges. If you’ve got a squad, coordinate your approach and cover each other while one person climbs.
Once the antenna is fixed, the depot becomes a functional supply station. You’ll be able to interact with it to complete the “Off the Radar” quest and prep for the next one: “Down to Earth.” That’s where Field Crates come in—but we’ll cover that in a separate guide.
For now, just know that Field Depots are more than just quest markers. They’re loot hubs, respawn points, and potential PvP flashpoints. Treat them with respect—or at least with backup.
Field Depots are Arc Raiders’ way of rewarding exploration and punishing complacency. If you want better gear and faster progression, you’ll need to find them, fix them, and survive long enough to use them. So grab your squad, check your corners, and don’t forget to look up.
Time for you to climb a suspiciously quiet trailer in the middle of a warzone before someone sees you!
