Assassin’s Creed Shadows fans! Ubisoft just dropped Update 1.0.4 for Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and it’s got me excited to jump back into Feudal Japan. I’ve been loving this game, sneaking around as Naoe or charging in with Yasuke, and this patch adds some cool new stuff to explore. Whether you’re a lore nerd or just here for the action, there’s something for you. Check out more gaming updates at Total Apex Gaming.
The big draw of this update is the free “Works of Luis Frois” story pack. You meet Luis Frois, a Portuguese Jesuit missionary, at a mission in Azuchi. The quest has you retrieving lost notes and protecting Lady Satoko, blending history with that classic Assassin’s Creed vibe. It’s playable with both characters, which is awesome since I switch between stealth and brute force depending on my mood. To kick it off, head south of Azuchi’s Merchants’ Quarters after “The Path He Walks.” Get the scoop from GameSpot.
This patch also brings a character codex to Assassin’s Creed Shadows, which adds a bio for allies and enemies. As someone who geeks out over the story, I’m thrilled to have this—it makes the world feel richer. Plus, there are over 50 bug fixes, smoothing out quests, stealth, and combat. No more random deer blocking roads or weird altar props! PC players get better VRAM usage, Xbox fans reclaim “Balanced” mode, and SteamDeck sees FPS boosts. The community’s buzzing about it, though some miss the multi-sell feature. Dive into the details at DSOGaming, Gamerant, and Push Square.
Ubisoft’s keeping Assassin’s Creed Shadows fresh, and I’m all in for it. Download 1.0.4 and let me know what you think in the comments! For more gaming news, hit up Total Apex News. Oh, and the official word’s at Ubisoft’s site.
