Everyone understands that the best thing about betas is finding those bugs and glitches that show you why it’s 10x harder to do a simple task. Battlefield 6 is still in its beta phase, and a lot of players were subjected to the absolute travesty that is horrible aim after a slide. In a game that baselines as an FPS, aim is an important mechanic that should be on point with no issues.
This issue was first found by a player named Shroud, but a content creator by the name of Exclusive Ace (the name says it all) looked into it a bit further. It’s a great thing he did, because he found out what happens during the slides—and how players can fix it during their game.
To sum it all up: this bug happens when players start their sliding animation but get interrupted or canceled by any sort of action. That animation will still have the calculations of sliding—the bloom, as it were (back posh writer!)—assigned to the player in motion. So even if the player is standing still or crouching, the calculations of sliding will still affect them, thus leading to the bloom and making sure the player couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn at noon.

But in his delve to figure out how to counteract this—because at this point in time, even in a beta version of Battlefield 6, the developers aren’t going to have time to fix the issue—Exclusive Ace has figured out the simplest way to fix it.
What is it? You’re asking with bated breath. Oh, as mentioned earlier, it’s quite simple. Just complete a slide.
Yep, just complete a full slide without any interruptions, and you, my friend, will have your aim return to normal. This means a continuous slide, so make sure to pay attention to your surroundings are free of anything that could stop your slide, rocks and boxes included. Do this, and you can now continue your rampage across the demolished playing field with your buddies!
While there’s a good chance the developers won’t be able to fix this before the beta actually ends, it should still be an easy fix for them to accomplish by the release date of October 20th, 2025.
If you still want to play the Battlefield 6 beta, unfortunately, it’s set to end in the early hours of Monday, August 18th, 2025. So if you’re still camping in the lobby or didn’t have the luck to get that Battlefield 6 beta code, you’re going to be out of luck until the full release of the game—unless EA decides to have another beta in the future, but that’s probably not going to be in the books.
