Battlefield 6’s Campaign Tells You To Uninstall When You’re Done

Battlefield 6 was released a few days ago, and it’s been a pretty successful launch so far. From dominating the Steam charts, having the most concurrent player count within one day of launch, Battlefield 6 is probably the most successful FPS shooter game in 2025. With people already having completed their campaigns, something peculiar happens upon completion. Here are all the details.

Battlefield 6 Will Tell You to Uninstall

According to BobNetworkUK, a Twitch streamer who has already completed their campaign, apparently, once you complete the campaign, the game will pop open a menu asking if you would like to uninstall the game after completing the game mode. BobNetworkUK reveals on X that the campaign screen will show an uninstall button, and you can press either confirm or uninstall. This is such a peculiar feature of the game.

If players choose confirm, it will lead them to the main menu, where they can choose their missions, game mode, and all the usual stuff. If players choose to uninstall, the game will uninstall the campaign data of the game. This totals about 15GB  of data, freeing up space for multiplayer mode, which is the bigger download size of the game, given all the content in multiplayer.

Final Thoughts

This peculiar setting is somewhat jarring, but understandable. Many players play FPS shooter games for the multiplayer aspect of the game, which is also the reason why the content in multiplayer is way more expansive. Also, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing if you were to uninstall the campaign data from your hard drive, especially if you’ve completed it. It’s pretty smart if I do say so myself.

Battlefield 6 was released a few days ago, but it’s already surpassed Black Ops 7, the new Call of Duty game coming out next month, in terms of concurrent players and interest for the game. However, players have experienced some issues with the game since launch. EA has yet to address a lot of these issues, but we should expect updates on them pretty soon.
