There was a break in raids following the release of the Indigo Disk DLC, but seven-star raids are now making a comeback. Blaziken is the next target of these particular raids. It will be a new Pokémon for people who don’t own the DLC, and everyone with Scarlet and Violet will have the chance to catch one.

Here’s everything you need to know about the Blaziken seven-star raids.

When does the Blaziken raid start?

Like most raids Blaziken will be available for two weekends, and a new raid will appear every day. This means that there are six chances to catch The Mightiest Blaziken over the two weekends.

Here are the dates when Blaziken is available:

  • From Friday, January 12, 2024, until Sunday, January 14, 2024
  • From Friday, January 19, 2024, until Sunday, January 21, 2024

7-Star Tera Raid Blaziken stats, moves, and ability – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Blaziken has a Flying-tera type, meaning that it will be weak to Rock-, Ice-, and Electric-type moves. As a natural Fire-/Fighting-type Pokémon, it also has strong attacks of these types too. Blaziken can easily counter physical attackers thanks to moves like Feather Dance and Will-O-Wisp, making it a scary Pokémon to take down.

The Mightiest Blaziken – Level 100

  • Nature – Jolly
  • Ability – Speed Boost
  • Item – None
  • Tera type – Flying
  • Move set – Acrobatics, Feather Dance, Swords Dance, Temper Flare, Close Combat, Will-O-Wisp, Earthquake

Best counters for Blaziken – Pokémon Scarlet & Violet

Blaziken can reduce physical damage, making special Pokémon much more effective. A resistance to Flying-, Fighting- and Fire-type attacks is a must, while super-effective attacks are a nice bonus. Blaziken’s Speed Boost ability means that it will outspeed pretty much any counter, so speed isn’t very important for this raid.

Here are our favorite counters for the Blaziken seven-star raids.

Slowbro

Slowbro is a raid staple thanks to its ability to quickly gain stats and then melt opponents with Stored Power. Psych Up will help by copying Blaziken’s boosts, and Slowbro naturally resists all of Blaziken’s attacks. Alternatively, you can run Slowbro as a supportive set with Acid Spray to lower special defense, Chilling Water to lower attack, and Rain Dance to reduce damage.

Slowbro – Level 100

  • Nature – Bold
  • Ability – Oblivious
  • Item – Shell Bell
  • Tera type – Psychic
  • Move set – Iron Defense, Psych Up, Calm Mind, Stored Power OR Rain Dance, Iron Defense, Acid Spray, Chilling Water

Armarouge

Flash Fire will protect Armarouge from Fire-type attacks, making it a great counter. It also has Will-O-Wisp and Reflect to reduce damage from Blaziken, while Clear Smog will remove any boosts it stacks up. Our main attack here is Meteor Beam. While it is a two-turn attack, it boosts a special attack on the first turn, making boosts add up.

Armarouge – Level 100

  • Nature – Bold
  • Ability – Flash Fire
  • Item – Shell Bell
  • Tera type – Psychic
  • Move set – Meteor Beam, Clear Smog, Will-O-Wisp, Reflect

Miraidon

Miraidon’s ability, Hadrom Engine, is perfect for this Pokémon as it boosts its special attack, its Electric-type attacks, and prevents it from falling asleep. Calm Mind will boost its power, Electro Drift is extremely powerful, and Parabolic Charge will help heal you. Metal Sound rounds out the set by dropping its special defense on top of this.

Miraidon – Level 100

  • Nature – Bold
  • Ability – Hadron Engine
  • Item – Big Root
  • Tera type – Electric
  • Move set – Parabolic Charge, Electro Drift, Calm Mind, Metal Sound

Bellibolt

Electromorphosis boosts Bellibolt’s Electric-type moves every time it is hit, making its Parabolic Charge very effective in both dealing damage and healing. It also has a number of great supportive moves including Mud-Slap for dropping accuracy, Chilling Water to drop attack, and Acid Spray to reduce special defense.

Bellbolt – Level 100

  • Nature – Bold
  • Ability – Electromorphosis
  • Item – Big Root
  • Tera type – Electric
  • Move set – Mud-Slap, Chilling Water, Acid Spray, Parabolic Charge
