The final 2 bosses of Act 2 were, honestly, a bit of a letdown. While I do try to find the easiest way to deal with a boss, I rather expected more from these 2. That being said, Act 3 is very much proving to be excessively trying, but still, for the gatekeepers of Act 2 to fall so easily…Architect Crest really is overpowered.
The first fight with Lace was challenging. The second fight, with all your upgrades, Skills, and Tools, not as much. She is far more aggressive and definitely speedier, but she can still be avoided if you take the proper precautions and create some distance between you.
Tacks and Cogflies do work during this fight, as Lace will spend a majority of her time zipping across the ground. If you do attack Lace and she ends up Parrying you, you have slightly more time to get out of the way than her original Parry in Deep Dock because she will first Teleport behind you before attacking. As such, you can either dash forwards (or Clawline if it’s faster) to avoid the damage completely.
Remember, you can jump and Cling Grip the wall of the arena; they can be kinda hard to see, but they are there, if you need to avoid something or want to set up a better reposition. Just know that Lace will chase after you, so don’t stay on the wall for any length of time. Falling off the edge is bad in either direction. If you fall off, you’ll take damage, and if she falls off while staggered, it will end the stagger prematurely.
If you are having issues with this fight, I would recommend using Architect and focus solely on dodge while your Tacks and Cogflies kill the boss for you. You’d be surprised at how fast they’ll take her down.

I was very disappointed with this boss. I expected I’d be banging my head against Granny for quite a while, but she ended up going down pretty easily. While she might not be the true final boss of the game, she is still the final boss of Act 2, which, if you don’t do all the requirements to access Act 3, means she is a final boss in your own way. I just expected more.
Still, it could be argued that my build did make things easier for me. As such, it would suggest using the Architect Crest with Sting Shards, Pimpillos, and Cogflies. Of the 3, Sting Shards are the weakest and most inconsistent, but the other Tool options are even less reliable. If you use these 3 tools and focus on dodging, you’ll see Granny fall in short order. Also, remember, she doesn’t do contact damage, so you maneuver through the air with complete discretion (as long as you are still avoiding her Needles).
