We have a new science fiction action game incoming—Pragmata—and we just got our first look during today’s PlayStation State of Play showcase!
The trailer starts off pretty serene. It’s your typical futuristic world, showcasing advanced technology, AI-driven software, and sleek machinery. But things take a darker turn fast—and we’re pretty sure the Delphi Corporation, mentioned right at the beginning, is behind that shift.
Pragmata is Capcom’s newest original IP, and it’s shaping up to be a unique two-in-one twist on action meets strategy. Players will follow two main characters: Hugh, a guy clunking around in a very cool-looking space suit, and Diana, a young robot with more AI and mechanical tricks than she lets on.
(Diana’s full name was apparently too long for Hugh to remember—so he shortened it. Don’t blame him.)
From what we can gather, you’ll be guiding Hugh and Diana through a massive space station overrun by hostile machines. Their goal? Figure out what happened to the crew—and maybe even Earth itself. And yes, there’s a very good chance Delphi Corp is to blame. That’s how it usually goes.
Hugh seems like your typical fighter type—he shoots, he melees, and he bulldozes his way through any enemy AI that steps up. Diana, however, plays it smarter. She appears to be able to hack into enemy units, either taking control of them or disabling them completely. She also might be capable of unlocking doors and accessing systems to help uncover the station’s secrets.
This dual-character control setup is a nice twist. Not many games let you control both a brute-force fighter and a strategic AI partner in tandem to solve puzzles and battle waves of enemies.
The gameplay shown looks solid so far—and fingers crossed it stays that way. Pragmata is set to release sometime in 2026, and if Capcom keeps this up, they might have something truly special on their hands.
