Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival game just unveiled a preview of the game at Gamescom 2025, and it’s pretty sick, literally. The content of the game is so graphic that, devs of the game provided vomit bags for players during the HANDS-ON Preview. If that doesn’t tell you how crazy this game is, I don’t know what will. Here’s a recap of what went down at Gamescom.
Hellraiser: Revival is the newest game by Saber Interactive and isn’t afraid to push the boundaries of horror content and material. The game has sex, gore, and horrifying enemies you have to deal with. All of these work in tandem with each other to create a nightmarish fantasy that you can’t unsee. Because of all this, this game may not be suitable for some players, and the devs definitely know this. So during the HANDS-ON Preview, the devs provided vomit bags for players who got to play the first hour of the game.
According to one who got to play at Gamescom, they were warned of what they were about to witness before they even sat down to play. They saw the devs preparing sick bags in the preview room, which is a telling sign of what was to come. I’m unsure if anyone even used the bags; however, by the end, I’m pretty sure people walked out like they just rode the fastest roller coaster 10 times in a row. Like seriously, I’ve just seen a screenshot of a person strung up, with their flesh splayed around them like a tutu. I can’t tell you how excited this makes me.
Does this make me a freak? Maybe. Am I enjoying this way too much? Probably. But seeing one of my favorite horror franchises turned into a game, and pushing the boundary of how explicit we can go with this concept, is such a dopamine rush I just can’t stop talking about it.
