If you were able to watch PAX East this year, then you already know this little tidbit: Dead by Daylight is celebrating its 9th anniversary soon—so kudos and congratulations to them! To mark the occasion, Behaviour Interactive is rolling out a fan-favorite that players have been begging for over the years.
Yep, that’s right—Five Nights at Freddy’s will be coming to Dead by Daylight as a full chapter on June 17, 2025, kicking off another year of exciting crossovers, quality-of-life fixes, and updates. This collaboration has been years in the making. I’m pretty sure some of us have gray hair because of the wait. Now let’s see how it all turns out.
New Killer, New Survivor, New Pizza Panic
Outside of the PAX East 2025 reveal, IGN got a chance to sit down with Dead by Daylight creative director Dave Richard and killer designer Jason Guzzo ahead of the launch of the public test build (PTB), which dropped just a few days ago.
In their chat, we got confirmation that the collab will stay true to the look and lore of the Five Nights at Freddy’s franchise. The new killer? None other than Springtrap, who will terrorize survivors using the environment in some pretty unique ways.
And yes, they absolutely admitted how much Markiplier they watched while prepping for this update—because let’s be honest, you kind of have to. The man is the King of FNAF, after all.
But wait, there’s more! Joining the roster is Mike Schmidt, the night guard we all know (and secretly love to torture). He’s now a playable survivor in Dead by Daylight. So once again, we get to watch him suffer in a completely new way. Yay?
Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza Comes to Life
This chapter also includes a brand-new map: Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. Yep, it’s a fully realized replica of the infamous pizzeria—complete with tight corridors, creepy ambient noises, and enough flickering lights to trigger a jump scare on sight.
We’re talking full-on claustrophobic tension like the OG FNAF game. I do wonder… will there be a chance to hide in the ball pit?
Even better, new gameplay mechanics will feature limited power resources and security camera monitoring, just like the classic FNAF setup. Pleasant memories and motion sickness incoming!
The devs really went all in here. Authentic sound effects—including the jump scare audio—are being used to enhance immersion. You know, just in case you needed another reason to play with the lights on.
Fans First, Fear Later
To top it off, Behaviour is working directly with both the Dead by Daylight and FNAF communities to keep things balanced. They’re making sure the new chapter respects both the lore and the expectations of longtime fans—which, let’s be honest, is a very smart move. Some FNAF fans have practically written encyclopedias on this franchise by now.
We’re beyond excited to see how this collab plays out—especially how Dead by Daylight’s stealth-and-strategy gameplay will blend with the raw, jump-scare horror of Five Nights at Freddy’s.
There’s bound to be some chaos over who gets to play the killer. But the real curiosity? What kinds of traps are hidden in the new map—and how many noise-makers will lead animatronics straight to your hiding spot?

Solving Henrietta's Map in Hogwarts Legacy
Henrietta’s Hideaway is a location you’ll be visiting more than once in Hogwarts Legacy. There are multiple quests to be solved in this area, including Find Rococo, Solved by the Bell, an Astronomy Table, an Infamous Foe, and this quest, Hippogriff Marks the Spot. You’ll start this quest in an entirely unrelated location, and even when you’re in the right place, the answer isn’t clear. How to find Henrietta’s Map – Hogwarts Legacy The first thing we need to do is start the quest, if you haven’t already. You can begin this quest at Poidsear Castle – it’s a map sitting on a desk in a tent near the back of the castle. The Side Quest icon should be hovering over it to draw your attention. Solving Henrietta’s Map – Hogwarts Legacy Once we have the map, we need to solve it. First is quite obviously a literal map, with an X marking the spot, and an illustration of where we need to go. It is Henrietta’s Map, so it makes sense that this quest would take place in Henrietta’s Hideaway to the South of Manor Cape. There’s also a Hippogriff surrounded by flames, with a flame and ice icon near them. The flame obviously indicates the use of your fire spells, and the ice icon hints at using Glacius. Hippogriff Marks the Spot solution – Hogwarts Legacy Right, so we need to enter Henrietta’s Hideaway. Once you arrive at the castle you’ll find a dungeon entrance down to the right side of the ruin. Inside there’s a quick and easy puzzle involving fire and ice spell blocks. As the main door opens, you will come face to face with a Hippogriff statue surrounding by burning braziers. First you will need to extinguish the flames around the Hippogriff. Next, you will need to light only the braziers indicated by Henrietta’s Map. These are as follows, when facing the Hippogriff: Rear of the Hippogriff Left of the Hippogriff Right of the Hippogriff Right front side of the Hippogriff Once those braziers are lit, a wall will open up at the back, revealing a chest with an item inside. Hippogriff Marks the Spot rewards – Hogwarts Legacy For your efforts you will receive Treasure-Seekers Gloves as an appearance option. Nice if you’re after the Treasure-Seekers appearance set, I guess.
Erik Karlsson's Trade Demands to the Penguins Release Publicly
Erik Karlsson is one of a few Penguins likely on the move soon, and now the one thing the veteran blue liner wants in a new team has been officially revealed. After missing the Stanley cup Playoffs for three straight seasons, the Pittsburgh Penguins come into this off-season as sellers, with the trio of Rickard Rakell, Bryan Rust and Erik Karlsson becoming notable names in trade speculation. While all three have a high likelihood of being moved as Kyle Dubas and the Penguins look towards the future, NHL Insider Frank Seravalli has suggested this off-season that Karlsson is the most likely of all to be moved in the summer. Now, Seravalli has followed up on the speculation, revealing another key piece of this scenario, as the veteran NHL Insider notes the one demand that Karlsson has in potential trade talks. According to Seravalli, Karlsson wants a chance to win, and given the contract that a team would potentially need to take on to bring him in, it's safe to say that only contending teams out there would be interested, with very little in it for teams that won't be chasing a Stanley Cup in the near future. As of right now, there are very few teams around the NHL that could fit Karlsson in as well as giving him the opportunity to win, with Detroit, Dallas and Carolina three teams that fit the bill, with all three having rumoured interest in an upgrade on their blue line. Ultimately, all the signs this off-season point to Karlsson being moved at some point before the 2025/26 campaign begins, and while the options are limited given his contract and his desire to win, there's no reason why a trade can't be made in the next few months.
‘Concerns’ Emerging for Matt LaFleur, Packers Coaching Staff
Matt LaFleur and the Packers coaching staff remain one of the most respected across the NFL, but some are beginning to wonder if this group is capable of bringing a Lombardi back to Green Bay. While the Packers made the postseason in each of quarterback Jordan Love’s first two seasons as the starter, Green Bay regressed last fall and there are some significant questions at cornerback, pass rush, and along the offensive line as the 2025 season nears. If Green Bay makes big strides this season, and Love makes a leap, it could turn out to be one of LaFleur’s most impressive coaching jobs to date in his career. Is it Time to Worry About Matt LaFleur, Packers Coaching Staff? There’s real optimism about Jordan Love taking the next step and the Packers making noise in the NFC North, but not everything in Green Bay is trending in the right direction — especially on the coaching side. ESPN’s Ben Solak sees some red flags developing if 2025 plays out similarly to 2024. “Two key coaching points give me pause in Green Bay,” Solak writes of LaFleur and staff, for ESPN. “It ended the season dead last in defensive success rate against dropbacks but second in EPA per dropback faced. How? Tons of interceptions. The Packers ripped off 17 picks, tied for third most in football, and recovered 14 fumbles. They finished third in defensive EPA on takeaways (behind Denver and Buffalo), and though I don’t think their defense was poorly coached by any stretch, it probably punched above its weight last season. “The second is Green Bay’s performance against elite teams. It ended the season 1-5 in its division (beating only Chicago on a game-ending field goal block) and lost to the Eagles twice, including in the playoffs. The best defensive coordinators — Vic Fangio, Brian Flores and Aaron Glenn — were able to flummox Love and expose that opportunistic defense. Green Bay’s staff never found a solution as the season went on.” If the Packers are going to take that next step, LaFleur and his coordinators will need to prove they can scheme consistently — not just rely on turnovers or hot streaks. Pirates take yet another PR hit for mishandling David Bednar trade
The Pittsburgh Pirates brutally fumbled the 2025 trade deadline, even by their miserable standards. But it wasn't just the fact that their moves made little sense and did nothing to improve the short-term and long-term outlook of the franchise. It is also now about the way they handled the trade involving closer David Bednar going to the New York Yankees. Bednar revealed on Friday night during an interview with YES Network that he only found out about the trade on social media, and it took a phone call to his agent and quite a bit of time before he got the actual confirmation that he was going to the Yankees. On one hand, this is not entirely unheard of. Sometimes trade news breaks early due to a leak within somebody's front office, and on trade deadline day, teams can have their hands full trying to make deals before they run out of time. Sometimes things slip through the cracks. But it still seems like poor form for the Pirates not to have their ducks in a row when it comes to informing their player about a trade. Especially, in this case, a player like Bednar. Not only has he been one of the few bright spots on the Pirates over the past five years, but he is also from the Pittsburgh area and fully embraced being a Pirate. He loved it. He loved playing there. He wanted to play there and seemed open to staying. That is not an easy thing to find, given where the franchise has been and how consistently bad it has been over the past four decades. Outside of a tough 2024 season and some early struggles this season, he was also a wildly popular player among the fans. The Pirates also knew that to the point where owner Bob Nutting reportedly blocked a potential Bednar trade a couple of years ago. A player with that sort of standing within the organization should not have to find out about being traded through social media. They should certainly not have to have their agent track down official sources to confirm it. For most teams, and if this sort of situation were taking place in a vacuum, it may not be that big of a deal. It would probably be just a minor slip-up and footnote to the trade deadline. But the Pirates are not a normal team, and this situation is not happening in a vacuum. The Pirates have spent the entire season creating self-inflicted PR nightmares all over the place, from the Roberto Clemente tribute that was taken door for a hard seltzer ad, to the handling of Bucco Bricks outside of PNC Park, to "Sell the team" chants consistently breaking out, to the simple fact the organization has been an absolute mess on the field and one of the worst teams in baseball. Now they can add allowing a popular, fan favorite to find out about his trade through social media to the list. Even worse for Pirates fans, they seemed to get the worst value for their All-Star closer than other teams (specifically the A's and Minnesota Twins) received for their All-Star closers. This is a franchise that just simply can not do anything right.
