Arms Week will be a returning event that happens over a week in Destiny 2. Each week, a different weapon archetype will be the focus. The first week features Hand Cannons with Phoneutria Fera, the new Spread Shot Hand Cannon, as the focus. The event has the Hardware PvP game mode, which disables Super and abilities. Players must use their weapons to reign supreme.
Players have a short quest to complete, which teaches them about the event and gives them access to the new weapons and mods.
Depending on the week, the focused weapon will change. For this week, it is Phoneutria Fera, which allows players to farm for other Hand Cannons. Activities during Arms Week award players Combat Telemetry, which you can use to focus weapons. Engrams cost 25 Combat Telemetry while weapon focusing costs between 25 and 30.

Hand Cannons Available This Week
The Volatile mods apply to Hand Cannons from Arms week and are disabled in PvP (except for Hardware) and the Desert Perpetual.
The structure is nearly identical to the Seasonal Hub and the Heavy Metal Event. You can complete daily and weekly challenges for event XP and Event Tokens. The XP goes towards the event pass, which has materials, event currencies, and Holofoil Arms Week weapons. Players can reroll daily challenges, but not the weekly challenge. Event Tokens are used in the Reward Shop to purchase items like Exotic Ciphers, Arms Week weapons, and materials.
Crucible players can jump into this game mode, which will remain active throughout the week. Players will not have access to Super or Weapons during this game mode, but can use Volatile Mods on curated weapons.
