Destiny 2 Edge of Fate: The Central Academy Strangelet Walkthrough

The Central Academy questline is one of two paths players can follow. Completing it is necessary to progress the Edge of Fate story in Destiny 2. As part of a non-linear story, players can choose to do this questline directly after the first mission or complete the Exile’s Accord first. Here is the entire walkthrough of the Central Academy questline in the Edge of Fate campaign.

Destiny 2 Edge of Fate: The Central Academy

Head to the quest marker to begin this portion of the campaign. You will meet the Emeritus, who tells you that some scientists have been abducted. Destroy generators to gain access to a terminal in the same area as the Emeritus. Enter the room and head up until you reach a grate. Destroy it to reveal Matterspark, which allows you to enter the facility. Kill the Exiles to save the Aionians and acquire the Acceleron. Return to the Emeritus to gain access to the Fallow mission.

Edge of Fate: Fallow Walkthrough

After defeating the Vex, grab the Matterspark and head back to find a vent that you can go through. More Vex and Matterspark await you. Defeat more Vex and destroy boxes to transmat food to the Aionians. A Devastator Mind will appear that you must defeat. Take a third of its health bar to bring up its shield. Matterspark will allow you to reach the generator to destroy the shield. Repeat the process to defeat the Devastator Mind. You will now have access to Rosetta II, which allows you to open chests throughout Kepler. Once the mission is complete, you can speak to the Emeritus and Dean Rebecca to continue the story.

Edge of Fate Nostos Walkthrough

The mission begins with players needing to collect charged motes. You do this by killing Exiles with Matterspark. Place a Rally Banner and start your battle with an Exile Captain. Take a third of his health bar to trigger his shield. You must collect charged motes to bring it down. After the next health gate, players must defuse Splinter Mines. Doing so will allow them to kill the Captain and finish the mission. Speak to the Emeritus and Dean Rebecca to unlock the next mission.

Edge of Fate Commencement Walkthrough

The opening section is the same as the start of the Central Academy quest. When players enter the room, they must navigate lasers to proceed. Clear out the Vex and access the Telemetry. Use Matterspark to progress further in the mission. Kill more Vex, their boxes, and the generators to access the Aioninan Terminal.

Progress until you find a Vex Pylon. Use Matterspark attacks to charge the Pylon. You now face a Hydra. At 50% health, the Hydra gains a shield that you must take down. Accomplish this by defeating the vex near the generators. It will unlock the boxes that allow you to destroy the shield on the generators. Once both are dead, you may kill the boss to gain rewards. Open the door and move closer to the Ritual Site.

Once you reach the Oracle, you will need to charge Vex Pylons with Matterspark to bring the shield down. Destroy the Oracle to open up the next area and meet Maya Sundaresh.

Defeat the Gate Lord

Phydron appears with three health bar sections. Each health gate requires you to charge Vex Pylons to destroy the shield on the Oracle. Once Phydron is dead, you get the Capsule and complete the mission.
