Destiny 2: New Pacific Epitaph God Roll Guide

Wave Frame Grenade Launchers were a massive hit in Destiny 2 during their release in the Witch Queen expansion. Forbearance dominated the meta for a long time but has since fallen off. Despite this, they remain a viable option in the PvE sandbox. New Pacific Epitaph fills the Stasis option for Wave Frame Grenade Launchers. Gravity Well will also work perfectly with the Grenade Launcher, given the regular reloads.

Destiny 2 New Pacific Epitaph Overview

Image from Destiny 2 Pacific Epitaph, courtesy of Bungie

New Pacific Epitaph is a Stasis Wave Frame Grenade Launcher. The weapon is primarily ad-clear-centric, taking down a room full of enemies. New Pacific Epitaph has plenty of options to aid in this regard. However, if you are looking for a PvP Weapon, Wave Frame Launchers are not the place to look since they have little to no effectiveness in PvP.

New Pacific Epitaph has an identical perk total as other Rite of the Nine weapons, twelve in total. The perks in the left column are Demolitionist, Envious Arsenal, Lead from Gold, Recycled Energy, Rimestealer, and Unrelenting. The right column contains Adrenaline Junkie, Chain Reaction, Elemental Honing, Kill Clip, Redirection and Sword Logic.

PvE God Roll

With New Pacific Epitaph being an ad-clear focused weapon, we want to prioritize perks to increase its effectiveness. Lead from Gold remains a solid option to increase its ammo economy, but the best perk is Unrelenting. Given that you are taking down numerous enemies at a time, you should benefit from it. The survivability of the perk will allow you to remain in fights for significantly longer periods at a time. A final option is Demolitionist, given how most PvE builds in the current sandbox are grenade-oriented. The reload, plus the extra grenade energy, makes for a dream made in heaven in most cases.

The right column has two options. Despite the nerfs to Chain Reaction, it remains a premier AoE perk. The other alternative is Redirection to deal with combatants that take longer for New Pacific Epitaph to kill. Chain Reaction should be the default as it best increases the potency of the Wave Frame.

  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
  • Left Column: Unrelenting/Lead From Gold/Demolitionist
  • Right Column: Chain Reaction: Redirection
  • Masterwork: Velocity
  • Origin Trait: Gravity Well

PvP God Roll

New Pacific Epitaph is not a weapon we would recommend chasing for PvP specifically. It is nearly impossible to secure kills with it, given its short range and long time to kill. If you want the Wave Frame Launcher for your PvP adventures, here is what you want. Demolitionist in the left column will help to garner kills, as you can play around with your Grenade for an additional reload and have it up more often. Kill Clip is the best perk in the right column since you reload regularly, and it will allow you to continue getting kills if you manage to secure the first one.

  • Barrel: Quick Launch
  • Magazine: High-Velocity Rounds
  • Left Column: Demolitionist
  • Right Column: Kill Clip
  • Masterwork: Handling
  • Origin Trait: Restoration Ritual

Acquiring New Pacific Epitaph

New Pacific Epitaph drops in four variations from the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon: Base, Base Holofoil, Adept, and Adept Holofoil. You can acquire the Adept version of the Wave Frame from the Ultimatum mode. All encounters will have New Pacific Epitaph as an option, with both secret chests, the Boss Hunter Hive Guardian chest, and the Eternity Chest all having a chance. Lastly, players can attune the Wave Frame to have a higher chance of dropping the weapon during their adventures.

Lions appear 'destined' to make huge Aidan Hutchinson move

Star pass-rusher Aidan Hutchinson is once again a key contributor for the Detroit Lions, coming off the devastating injury he suffered last fall. For a piece published on Wednesday, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler suggested that the Lions could soon lock Hutchinson down beyond the ongoing campaign after the club picked up the 25-year-old's fifth-year option for 2026 this past offseason. Lions, Aidan Hutchinson have had "exploratory" contract talks "Lions edge-rusher Aidan Hutchinson looks destined for a new deal," Fowler shared. "Both sides have had exploratory discussions about an extension, for which Hutchinson is eligible as a fourth-year pro." Back in July, Fowler noted that Hutchinson was leading the NFL in sacks (7.5), pressures and win rate last season before he went down with gruesome fractures of his tibia and fibula in October 2024. According to Pro Football Reference, Hutchinson enters Week 6 of the 2025 campaign tied for third in the league with five sacks and second with three forced fumbles. How much could Aidan Hutchinson make via extension? "Top pass-rushers now make quarterback money, punctuated by Micah Parsons' four-year, $188M deal with Green Bay," Fowler continued. "While I'm not sure Hutchinson tops that number, he'll be among the highest paid at his position whenever this deal gets done. ...Detroit has shown an eagerness to extend its marquee players, and there's none bigger than Hutchinson." Before Parsons put pen to paper on his deal, Maxx Crosby of the Las Vegas Raiders received a three-year, $106.5M extension during the offseason. Myles Garrett of the Cleveland Browns later signed a four-year, $160M deal that included $123.5M guaranteed. During the summer, the Pittsburgh Steelers gave T.J. Watt a three-year, $123M extension that included $108M guaranteed. Wide receiver Amon-Ra St. Brown, All-Pro offensive tackle Penei Sewell and quarterback Jared Goff are a few examples of Lions players who have received extensions from the club over the past couple of years. That said, both Detroit and Hutchinson may have reasons to drag contract talks out. Hutchinson could increase the value of his deal if he keeps playing well through January (or February). Meanwhile, everybody involved received a harsh reminder roughly 12 months ago that one play can drastically alter or even threaten a player's career. For now, Hutchinson and the 4-1 Lions will focus on preparing for the upcoming "Sunday Night Football" game at the Kansas City Chiefs (2-3). As of Wednesday, ESPN BET had Detroit as a 2.5-point underdog for that matchup.

Terry McLaurin's latest injury update leaves questions about his status on Commanders' offense for Monday Night Football

The Washington Commanders have an extra day this week to prepare for the Chicago Bears and heal up, which is needed for some of the injuries on the team. The team has been getting healthy at the right time, but they're still missing three key players who have missed time over the last few weeks. They would love to get them back for a primetime NFC matchup against the Bears, who are getting their own impact players back from injury. The biggest name for the Commanders to watch this week is wide receiver Terry McLaurin, and we got our first update on Wednesday. Terry McLaurin did not practice on Wednesday Everyone is wondering when McLaurin will make his return, especially with Jayden Daniels back from his own injury, and the hope is this week, with the extra day. Head coach Dan Quinn said on Monday that the team was optimistic about McLaurin's return, along with right guard Sam Cosmi and wide receiver Noah Brown, but they had to wait until the team practiced to see their availability. Well, the team showed up to practice on Wednesday, and McLaurin did not participate like Quinn warned right before the players took the field in his press conference. "You'll see Noah out at practice today," Quinn said. "Terry won't. And then with the extra day, we'll just kind of work our way through with Terry to see where we're at and just kind of watch as we're going through it with him and Noah both.” The team will practice again on Thursday before taking Friday off as a recovery day, then take the field again on Saturday and Sunday to get a final game status on players' availability for Monday night, including McLaurin. McLaurin didn't need surgery and avoided going to the IR, which would've put him out for four games, and the team is going into the third game since he was injured, making his return likely this week or next. The good news, however, is that Brown looks like he will be available this week for the first time in a while. Noah Brown is back at practice Regardless of whether McLaurin returns or not, getting Brown back would help the offense while Deebo Samuel and Luke McCaffrey have been carrying the load over the last two weeks. Brown is the one who caught the Hail Mary touchdown last season in this matchup, and who knows what plays he could make on Monday. The more weapons, the better. The offense should continue to lean on the run game, especially against a really bad Bears' run defense, but getting more weapons back for Daniels, who looked much better last week, will long a long way on Monday night. Hopefully, that includes McLaurin, but we will have to wait and see through the rest of the week.

Why Blue Jackets winger is a logical trade target for the Canadiens

Why Blue Jackets winger is a logical trade target for the Canadiens

The Montreal Canadiens are ready to start the 2025-26 season, with high expectations around the team with a reinforced young core. On Wednesday, Heavy.com proposed a trade between Columbus and Montreal. The Canadiens would acquire Yegor Chinakhov, with a cap hit of $2.1 million, and the Blue Jackets would receive Patrik Laine, with a cap hit of $8.7 million. The outlet had previously proposed an alternative, where the Canadiens obtained Chinakhov for a package of Josh Anderson and Arber Xhekaj, freeing up $4.7 million in cap space. The Columbus coach confirmed that Chinakhov will be a healthy scratch in the Blue Jackets' season opener. Chinakhov requested a trade in July, so a change is not seen as improbable. Blue Jackets' Yegor Chinakhov would fit in well with the Canadiens This trade pitch makes sense because Chinakhov needs a change to get stable minutes on a top-nine team. In Montreal, he could benefit from an environment that maximizes its young offensive players. The Russian's profile would also fit Martin St. Louis' system, as he shoots well and plays well without the puck. In a system that prioritizes possession, the volume and quality of his shots should improve. As he is a restricted free agent (RFA) in 2026, Montreal could maintain contractual control if his production improves. It is a buy-low with upside, as he has recorded a season with 16 goals. This would reduce the risk in relation to larger contracts. The Canadiens could offer a development environment without demanding immediate results. He would not have pressure to be the "savior." Furthermore, not all benefits would be for the player. The Habs are looking for more talent for their wings and scoring depth without sacrificing their defensive structure. The Russian would add shooting threat and quick transitions, especially with centers who gain the zone of control, which could be Suzuki or Kirby Dach.

Did Raiders HC Pete Carroll Take Shot at Chip Kelly?

Did Raiders HC Pete Carroll Take Shot at Chip Kelly?

The Las Vegas Raiders aren't doing anything well this season. The offense, defense and special teams have all been below average. The defensive struggles aren't a surprise, as the team just doesn't have that much talent on that side of the ball. However, the offense was expected to be much better. The Raiders traded for quarterback Geno Smith and gave him a big contract extension, and also brought on Chip Kelly as the highest-paid offensive coordinator in the NFL. The results? Smith leads the league with nine interceptions, and the offense is averaging 16.6 points a game, which is third-worst in the NFL. Head coach Pete Carroll is loyal to Smith, and it appears he has some feelings about how Kelly is running the offense. Did Carroll Throw Kelly Under the Bus? Smith has never been a top-five quarterback, but he's flirted with being in the top 10. His drop off this season has been staggering. His 75.6 pass rating is 30th in the NFL. Despite that, Carroll doesn't seem keen on benching them. In fact, he might believe that Kelly is more to blame for the offensive struggles. “The running game has looked well right now, we need to get more of it … and we gotta make sure that we’re calling all the best stuff in the situations. He’s not calling the plays,” Carroll told reporters on Wednesday when asked about Smith. While it's not a direct shot at Kelly, it does seem that Carroll is suggesting that the offensive coordinator isn't putting Smith in a position to succeed. Regardless, the coaching staff needs to get on the same page, or this season is going to get very ugly for Las Vegas.
