Wave Frame Grenade Launchers were a massive hit in Destiny 2 during their release in the Witch Queen expansion. Forbearance dominated the meta for a long time but has since fallen off. Despite this, they remain a viable option in the PvE sandbox. New Pacific Epitaph fills the Stasis option for Wave Frame Grenade Launchers. Gravity Well will also work perfectly with the Grenade Launcher, given the regular reloads.
New Pacific Epitaph is a Stasis Wave Frame Grenade Launcher. The weapon is primarily ad-clear-centric, taking down a room full of enemies. New Pacific Epitaph has plenty of options to aid in this regard. However, if you are looking for a PvP Weapon, Wave Frame Launchers are not the place to look since they have little to no effectiveness in PvP.
New Pacific Epitaph has an identical perk total as other Rite of the Nine weapons, twelve in total. The perks in the left column are Demolitionist, Envious Arsenal, Lead from Gold, Recycled Energy, Rimestealer, and Unrelenting. The right column contains Adrenaline Junkie, Chain Reaction, Elemental Honing, Kill Clip, Redirection and Sword Logic.
With New Pacific Epitaph being an ad-clear focused weapon, we want to prioritize perks to increase its effectiveness. Lead from Gold remains a solid option to increase its ammo economy, but the best perk is Unrelenting. Given that you are taking down numerous enemies at a time, you should benefit from it. The survivability of the perk will allow you to remain in fights for significantly longer periods at a time. A final option is Demolitionist, given how most PvE builds in the current sandbox are grenade-oriented. The reload, plus the extra grenade energy, makes for a dream made in heaven in most cases.
The right column has two options. Despite the nerfs to Chain Reaction, it remains a premier AoE perk. The other alternative is Redirection to deal with combatants that take longer for New Pacific Epitaph to kill. Chain Reaction should be the default as it best increases the potency of the Wave Frame.
New Pacific Epitaph is not a weapon we would recommend chasing for PvP specifically. It is nearly impossible to secure kills with it, given its short range and long time to kill. If you want the Wave Frame Launcher for your PvP adventures, here is what you want. Demolitionist in the left column will help to garner kills, as you can play around with your Grenade for an additional reload and have it up more often. Kill Clip is the best perk in the right column since you reload regularly, and it will allow you to continue getting kills if you manage to secure the first one.
New Pacific Epitaph drops in four variations from the Ghosts of the Deep dungeon: Base, Base Holofoil, Adept, and Adept Holofoil. You can acquire the Adept version of the Wave Frame from the Ultimatum mode. All encounters will have New Pacific Epitaph as an option, with both secret chests, the Boss Hunter Hive Guardian chest, and the Eternity Chest all having a chance. Lastly, players can attune the Wave Frame to have a higher chance of dropping the weapon during their adventures.

The New York Knicks have had a busy summer thus far as they have made multiple additions to their roster to try and improve off their run to the Eastern Conference Finals last season. Of course, the Knicks also made a head coaching change to begin the summer as they fried Tom Thibodeau and replaced him with two-time Coach of the Year winner Mike Brown. During free agency, New York added Jordan Clarkson and Guerschon Yabusele to upgrade their bench at a cheap cost, which is an area that they struggled with last season. The Knicks do have one more roster spot open which they will likely use to add another veteran player to their bench. While the Knicks have focused on upgrading their depth this summer, Sports Illustrated’s Jackson Caudell recently created a mock trade that would see New York send Karl-Anthony Towns to the Dallas Mavericks for one of their star players along with depth. In the trade, the Knicks would acquire Klay Thompson, Daniel Gafford and P.J. Washington from the Mavericks while Dallas would land Towns and Vit Krejci. The Atlanta Hawks are the third team involved in the trade and they would receive Caleb Martin and two second-round picks from the Mavericks. For the Knicks, it would be a tough decision to move on from Towns but they would be able to fill some glaring holes in their roster with their return in this deal. Thompson would give them a much-needed three-point sharpshooter in their starting lineup while both Washington and Gafford would be major additions to their frontcourt, especially on the defensive end. Despite this, the Mavericks may not want to move on from three of their key players to acquire Towns, who struggled in the playoffs last season, primarily on defense. While that may be the case, making this trade would be a massive upgrade to the Knicks’ lineup and depth that could make them the team to beat in the Eastern Conference next season.
Carter Hart, Dillon Dube, Callan Foote, Michael McLeod and Alex Formenton have been found not guilty by Justice Maria Carroccia in London, Ontario, according to reporting from The Athletic, after being charged in connection with an alleged sexual assault involving the 2018 Canadian men’s national junior team. Carroccia said that she did not find E.M.’s [the alleged victim] evidence “credible or reliable,” in explaining her reasoning. “Having found that I cannot rely upon the evidence of E.M. and then considering the evidence in this trial as a whole, I conclude that the Crown cannot meet its onus on any of the counts before me,” Carroccia said. The allegations against Dube, Foote, Formenton, Hart and McLeod first became public in May of 2022, when reports emerged that Hockey Canada had paid to settle a lawsuit with a woman, known in court documents as E.M., who said she was sexually assaulted by eight players “over several hours” in a London hotel room on July 18, 2018. No charges were levied as a result of the initial investigation by local police, which was closed in February 2019, but the case was reopened after the 2022 report. Formal charges were then brought against the five defendants on Jan. 30, 2024. The trial began on April 22, 2025, and the verdicts were reached solely by Justice Carroccia after two mistrials influenced her to dismiss the jury. The NHL does not have a formal policy for players accused of or charged with domestic violence, sexual assault or similar crimes. Instead, the four players who were under NHL contracts at the time – Dube, Foote, Hart and McLeod – were granted indefinite leaves of absence by their clubs shortly before the charges were announced. All of them were pending restricted free agents on expiring contracts and were not extended qualifying offers, making them unrestricted free agents as of July 1, 2024. When asked about the playing eligibility of the defendants, NHL commissioner Gary Bettman has continually deferred action until after a verdict was reached. While none of the players are formally suspended by the league, similar situations have routinely required some sort of permission from league offices for them to play in or return to the NHL. If teams approach any of them with a contract offer, they will presumably wait for that guidance before registering the deal.
Another year, another shot at a championship. Since their last World Series appearance in 2022, a match in which they lost, the Philadelphia Phillies have slid backwards, falling in the NLCS in 2023 and the NLDS in 2024. This year, the Phillies are back on top of the NL East, holding a slim half-game lead over the New York Mets entering Tuesday. Still, their season has been far from spotless. The Phillies have gone through immeasurable difficulties from the bullpen without Jeff Hoffman (signed with Blue Jays), Carlos Estevez (signed with Royals) or Jose Alvarado (PED suspension), especially with Jordan Romano’s descent into the dumpster fire. But with new free-agent signing David Robertson in tow, we can expect some degree of stability from the relief corps going forward — though, not to insinuate that team president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski is done adding bullpen arms. Another sore spot that received plenty of attention the past few months is in the outfield, left field in particular. Among all qualifying left fielders, Max Kepler maintains the second lowest OPS. Much has been made about potentially replacing him, but as bad as he’s been, there is one Philadelphia infielder that has done even worse. Once a promising bat, second baseman Bryson Stott seems to be reaching rock bottom. Below, you can his stats in comparison to that of Kepler’s: (wRC+: weighted runs created plus represents the culmination of a hitter’s offensive achievements where a value of 100 is MLB’s average) Stott has been more proficient than Kepler at recording hits, but Kepler’s power and higher walk rate gives him the edge in overall offensive stats. It was only in 2023, his second year of MLB action, when Stott hit .280/.329/.414 with 15 home runs. Unfortunately, Stott’s productivity began to slide last season. This year, his slump halted in April when he hit .314 on the month, but it quickly resumed in May (.216), worsened in June (.202) and has reached a fever-pitch in July (.132). If the Phillies are going to claw their way back to the Fall Classic, it may be better if Stott’s bat isn’t in the lineup.
The Pittsburgh Steelers have had an uncharacteristically aggressive offseason in 2025 that saw the organization flip many positions on the roster. There were some interesting changes on offense at both quarterback and wide receiver, but the most unexpected changes came on the defensive side of the ball. Pittsburgh parted ways with star safety Minkah Fitzpatrick in a deal that brought in Jalen Ramsey and Jonnu Smith, helping both the offense and defense. Free safety has been a position that has been talked about a ton since the deal was finalized, and fans have been questioning where Ramsey will fit in on defense. Ramsey has been known as one of the best cornerbacks in the league since being drafted back in 2016, but he is now on the other side of 30, which makes some skeptical about his ability to play on the outside. He is a versatile player that can line up in the slot, and fans have speculated about whether or not he might make the transition to safety. This was one of the more interesting story lines entering training camp ahead of the 2025 season, and fans were able to get a sneak peak at how Pittsburgh might use the newly-acquired player during the first team period in Latrobe. The veteran cornerback lined up at safety and in the slot, which is what should be expected during the regular season. When the defense is in nickel, it sounds like he will be playing slot cornerback while Juan Thornhill will be at free safety, and Joey Porter Jr. and Darius Slay will be on the outsides. In the team's base defense, Ramsey was lined up at free safety. The trio of Ramsey, Porter, and Slay gives Pittsburgh's defense the ability to play man against any offense in the NFL, especially when lined up in the nickel. Ramsey also has impeccable ball skills as he has racked up 24 interceptions in his career, which certainly makes him a threat when lining up deep at safety. He has also been known to be aggressive, which shows in his tackling efforts. He will be able to come up while playing safety and help stop the run, as he has been known to take on running back. The first team-period from training camp isn't always what is going to be seen in Week 1 of the regular season. Things can change, and a lot that will have to do with the opponent the team is preparing to play. There might be some weeks where it makes more sense to have Ramsey line up on the outside in certain situations, which could sent Porter or Slay to the bench, or to the slot or free safety. The three players are going to be fairly interchangeable, but Ramsey is certainly the most versatile. Steelers' Cornerback Trio Gives Team Best Chance To Compete In 2025 Being able to play man defense is going to be extremely important for the Steelers, especially with the team's schedule in 2025. The organization has to take on the Cincinnati Bengals twice, and they boast the best wide receiver duo in the league with Ja'Marr Chase and Tee Higgins. Pittsburgh also has games against the Minnesota Vikings, Detroit Lions, Miami Dolphins, and Seattle Seahawks, who all feature pretty scary one-two punches at wide receiver. Ramsey, Porter, and Slay give Pittsburgh a great chance to slow down those offenses, especially with the pass rush up front. The cornerbacks and pass rush are going to be able to play off of one another. The pass rush could force quarterback into making poor decisions, and good coverage will give the pass rushers enough time to get to the passer.
