Destiny 2’s Edge of Fate expansion is rapidly approaching, and we want to best prepare you for it. While Exotic Class Items are not going anywhere, we recommend you get your God Roll Relativism before the new expansion. Hunters have several options they can choose from, heading into Edge of Fate, but we have selected the best ones for players to prioritize.
If players have not dropped the Relativism Exotic Class Item, they must complete the Dual Destiny mission. The caveat is that players can not go solo or with three fire team members. It has to be two players or nothing. Once you complete the mission on Hunter, you will unlock Relatavism in your collections, meaning you can purchase it from Xur when he sells it or drop it from a Pale Heart chest. Further completions of Dual Destiny will reward you with more Relativism Class Items.
Spirit of Caliban and Spirit of Liar
The tried and true Combination Blow build for Hunters is more terrifying with Spirit of Caliban and Spirit of Liar on Relativism. Spirit of Caliban allows each Combination Blow kill to cause an ignition, improving the ad clear potential of the build. Spirit of Liar gives consistent bonus damage to each successive melee, allowing players to take down higher health targets.
Spirit of Renewal and Spirit of Cyrtarachne
The combination of Renewal and Cyrtarachne makes for nearly unkillable Hunters. The damage resistance from Frost Armor and Woven Mail means you can take next to no damage from all sources. Upon casting your Duskfield Grenade, you immediately gain Woven Mail and the stacks of Frost Armor build while you stand in the icy circle.
The biggest downside of this build is that it lacks flexibility. Players must run Duskfield Grenade to garner both benefits. If you want a more flexible option, you can trade Renewal for Inmost Light, allowing you to buff all your abilities and run the grenade you like using.
Spirit of Foetracer and Spirit of Verity
Spirit of Foetracer increases weapon damage to higher numbers than that of Surges. However, the one downside is that players need to use abilities to gain the damage increase. Spirit of Verity presents a fantastic combination of both perks working in tandem. Spirit of Verity requires weapon kills matching the element of your grenade to increase its damage. Tagging enemies with a grenade that has increased damage will allow players to utilize the same element weapon to deal damage. Foetracer and Verity are a perfect combination for boss damage scenarios.
Spirit of Galanor and Spirit of the Star Eater
The ideal Super combination for Relativism. Spirit of Galanor is free Super energy, while Spirit of the Star Eater increases the damage potential of that Super. Prismatic does not have the best Supers to utilize the combination (no Blade Barrage). However, it is excellent to have lying around for Supers like Golden Gun: Marksmen, Silkstrike, and Storm’s Edge.
Spirit of the Dragon and Spirit of Coyote
Spirit of the Dragon and Spirit of Coyote are the only combination that benefits PvP. Having the additional dodge from Spirit of Coyote will give players an extra opportunity to proc the Spirit of the Dragon benefits. You might be able to catch enemy Guardians off guard with the extra dodge and reload. You can also combine these perks with the Threaded Specter and Ascension Aspects to make it a nightmare for Guardians to eliminate you.
