The Spire of the Watcher loot refresh in Destiny 2’s Rite of the Nine updates has returned players to the Midwestern dungeon. Players will be farming heaps of loot during this dungeon, so knowing what you are looking for is paramount. Today, we bring you the rolls you want to focus on for the Terminus Horizon Light Machine Gun.

Destiny 2: Terminus Horizon Overview

Terminus Horizon is a High-Impact Frame Arc Light Machine Gun. It should see some success in this Episode as an Arc weapon but might struggle compared to other Light Machine Guns. It is a High-Impact Frame, which means it has a slower fire rate, lowering its efficacy as an ad-clear focused weapon. Thankfully, there are perks that players can make use of to increase its efficiency.

As with other Spire of the Watcher weapons, it has twelve perks between both columns. The first column contains Demolitionist, Dragonfly, Eddy Current, Envious Arsenal, Reconstruction, and Triple Tap. The right column sees a handful of high-quality perks in High-Impact Reserves, Jolting Feedback, Killing Tally, Precision Instrument, Rolling Storm, and Target Lock.

PvE God Roll

The left column has one standout perk for PvE players. Reconstruction is far and away the best perk for Terminus Horizon. It reloads itself and overflows the magazine, meaning you never have to reload this weapon unless you unload everything. The only other consideration is Demolitionist for Grenade-specific builds, but even in those cases, Reconstruction will likely outperform Demolitionist.

The right column has more variety in the perks you can choose for the weapon. The best perk is Killing Tally due to its perfect synergy with Reconstruction. Killing Tally will always be active until you stow it, thanks to Reconstruction. Jolting Feedback and Rolling Storm are the other options, primarily targeted at aiding Arc-based builds. Jolting Feedback helps decimate rooms of enemies, while Rolling Storm increases the total damage output of your builds thanks to the Bolt Charge gains.

  • Right Column: Killing Tally

  • Origin Trait: Gravity Well

PvP God Roll

Terminus Horizon struggles in PvP due to its lack of perks aiding the weapon. The left column does not have any perks that boost its effectiveness. The only real choice here is Demolitionist, to gain extra grenade energy from eliminations with the weapon. Killing Tally is the perk of choice in the right column, as it will help guarantee kills against higher health targets like Guardians using their super or ones with high damage reduction.

Acquiring Terminus Horizon

Terminus Horizon drops from the first two encounters of the Spire of the Watcher Dungeon. It can also drop from bonus chests and the final loot chest if you have acquired Terminus Horizon before. Players can spend Nonary Manifolds at the chest in The Third Spire to acquire a Terminus Horizon. The Adept version of the weapon drops from Ultimatum mode and the Third Spire chest. Players can attune the Terminus Horizon for a higher drop chance. Finally, there are four variants of Rite of the Nine Weapons: Base, Base Shiny, Adept, and Adept Shiny.
