Disney Dreamlight Valley The Winter Ball Free Update! All the Magic Uncovered

The Fairy Godmother was added to Disney Dreamlight Valley as part of The Remembering Update back in June of 2023. Ever since, it has seemed pretty odd that Cinderella hasn’t joined us. Come December, that error will finally be corrected!

With the Winter Ball Update, we’ll be tasked with helping The Fairy Godmother by breaking a protective enchantment on her so that Cinderella can be brought back to the Valley. In the Showcase on Oct 15, 2025, we were shown a teaser where you approach the Dark Castle with The Fairy Godmother. So, if you haven’t completed all of your quests for The Forgotten, you’ll want to get caught up on those before the update drops.

The developers also mentioned that there would be some “pumpkin-related shenanigans!”

What is a DreamTeam?

DreamTeams are a new feature that’s coming with the December update. Players can create or join a team with up to 7 friends. When the DreamTeam is created, you can give it a name, motto, and icon. Once you’re part of a DreamTeam, you can request the resources you need and help your friends by giving them the resources they need. It’s a feature we’ve been hoping for! Finally, we’ll be able to share resources with our friends.

From what we saw during the Showcase, it looks like there’s a limit to how many requests you can make per day. The request window shows “Remaining Daily Requests: 2” and “Request Cooldown.” But, even with limits, this is a significant quality-of-life improvement. With this feature, we’ll be able to help each other complete quests and crafting. It will be especially nice for helping friends who’ve only just started playing or who are trying to catch up.

Will There Be Anything Else Coming to Disney Dreamlight Valley?

Since they’re calling the update The Winter Ball, it’s probably safe to expect a little more than just these two things. They haven’t said anything about a Star Path, but having a winter-themed one around the same time would make perfect sense. In the meantime, Wishblossom Ranch is also releasing on November 19, which adds Snow White, a stable of horses, and more! I’ll update this article with any new information about the Winter Ball update as it becomes available.
