So you’ve hit that point in ARC Raiders where your starter rifle feels more like a pea shooter than a weapon. That’s when the Workshop stops being background noise and starts being survival. Crafting and upgrading isn’t just about bigger numbers—it’s about not wasting rare parts on guns you’ll ditch two matches later. Let’s cut through the clutter.

Crafting – Turning Scrap Into Firepower

  • Blueprints are the gatekeeper. No blueprint, no weapon. They drop from quests, loot caches, or traders.
  • Materials matter. Expect a mix of junk (Plastic, Scrap Metal) and rarities (ARC Alloy, Advanced Electrical Components).
  • Coins are the tax. Every craft costs currency, so don’t blow your wallet on cosmetics before checking your bench.
  • Result: Hit craft, and the weapon drops straight into your inventory.

Pro tip: Crafting is breadth. It fills gaps in your arsenal. Don’t craft everything—craft what fits your playstyle.

Using the Workbench – Your Survival Desk

So you’ve got blueprints, parts, and coins. None of it matters until you sit down at the Workshop’s Workbench in Speranza. Here’s how it works:

  • Accessing the Workbench: Open the Workshop menu from the main hub. The default Workbench will be the first one you see and it handles the basic gear. For the nicer goodies (grenades, augments, and such), you’ll need to unlock specialty benches like the Gunsmith, Gear Bench, Medical Lab, Utility Station, Explosives Station, and Refiner.
  • Crafting Flow:
    1. Select the bench that suits your fancy
    2. Choose the blueprint you’ve unlocked.
    3. Check the material requirements—common parts like Metal, Rubber, Plastic, plus rarities like ARC Alloy or Sentinel Firing Cores.
    4. Hit craft, and bam! New item goes right into your stash!
  • Upgrading Benches: Each bench can be leveled up! So, make sure you do this as you unlock stronger recipes and better creation efficiency.
  • Tracking Materials: Use the “Track Resources” option in the Workbench menu. This highlights required materials during raids so you know exactly what to grab. Caue you know you’re going to forget them!
  • Refiner Use: The Refiner bench converts common loot into rarer upgrade materials It’s your safety net when RNG decides to abandon you!

Resource Management – Don’t Be That Player

  • Secure Pocket: Rare materials go here. Dying with ARC Alloy in your backpack is pain.
  • Quest rewards: Many quests drop upgrade parts—plan runs around them.
  • Trader stock: Shani rotates inventory. Sometimes buying saves hours of farming. You know, if you have the funds!
  • Recycle: Dismantle junk weapons for parts. It’s not glamorous, but it keeps your Workshop fed.

Final Word: Craft Smart, Upgrade Smarter

ARC Raiders’ Workshop is a trap for the impatient. Crafting fills your arsenal, upgrading sharpens it. If you treat every blueprint like gospel, you’ll run dry fast. But if you focus, stash rare parts, and time your upgrades, you’ll walk out of Speranza with gear that actually survives the Dam Battlegrounds.
