Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots is officially returning—and it’s headed to the PlayStation 5 this fall! That’s right, the beloved golf game with its quirky, adorable characters and deceptively tricky mechanics is making a comeback. If you ever thought you could handle a real-life golf course after playing it… well, you’re not alone.
Previously known as Hot Shots Golf in North America, Bandai Namco is bringing the franchise back with a shiny new polish, and they’re not playing around.
The return of Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots comes with improved graphics, a larger character roster, and a variety of new gameplay modes and customization options. One of the biggest upgrades? Multiple course conditions. You’ll now be able to play in rain, snow, daylight, and nighttime, you name it—and yes, these might actually affect your performance. If it’s true to real-life golf physics, expect your swings to get just a little trickier.
Also, get ready to travel—courses span 10 different regions, giving you and your friends plenty of gorgeous greens (and hazards) to choose from.
You can now tee off with friends in Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots’ local couch co-op or via online multiplayer, and there’s even a wacky golf mode featuring bizarre obstacles and wild challenges to keep things chaotic and competitive.
Oh, and speaking of chaos—did you spot the newest roster addition? If not, here’s your spoiler: Pac-Man is joining the game as a playable golfer. Yes, that Pac-Man. Arms, legs, signature red gloves and boots—he’s ready to hit the green like never before. (Though honestly, watching him try to swing a club without limbs might’ve been hilarious.)
Whether you’re a returning fan from the Hot Shots days or discovering Everybody’s Golf for the first time, you’ll want to mark your calendar. The game launches September 5, 2025, on PS5—and we’ll be there, whiffing shots and blaming the weather.
