We have less than 6 weeks to go until 6.0 comes out. While we can’t necessarily start farming for materials yet, we can at least start planning for how we want to spend our Primogems. Which new 5-Star will you pull for? What weapons would be a good investment? What will the new region bring? The answers to all these questions are technically up to you to decide on and explore for yourself. That said, here’s some info to help you make up your mind.
All leaks are subject to change. As such, a full, in-depth, definitive analysis of a character, weapon, artifact, or event would be ill-advised at this time. To that end, I’ll be covering the base-level premise of each character so that you can make a moderately informed decision on which character(s) you want to prepare for.
If you want a full guide for a character, check out my work here when the character is released.
A 5-Star Electro Polearm DPS who focuses on dealing Lunar-Charged damage. His Skill infuses his Normal Attacks with Electro, and his Burst, like Varesa’s, has a high and a low Energy form. Side note: his animations are some of the best in the game. His Utility passive shows Nod Krai-specific resources on the mini-map.
She is a 5-Star Dendro Catalyst Support who specializes in the new Lunar-Bloom reaction. Like Lunar-Charged, this new reaction takes into account the EM of the party and can CRIT. Lunar-Charged also creates a stacking effect called Verdant Dew (which stacks up to 3 times). Lauma can consume Verdant Dew by holding her Skill to increase its damage.
Her Burst is a buff to all Bloom-based reactions. She gains bonus damage based on her EM, and she can transform into her centaur form by using her Charged Attack. Also, her Utility passive shows Nod Krai-specific resources on the mini-map, like Flins.
As the 1st 4-Star from a new region, Aino will probably be given out for free. She is a Hydro Claymore Support (1st Hydro Claymore in the game). Her Skill is a dash, and, honestly, it’s little more than a way to build Energy. Her Burst deploys a floating duckie that shoots water over a pretty good-sized area. The duration is slightly longer than the CD, so with good Energy Recharge, she can have it up indefinitely.
Like Flins and Lauma, her Utility passive shows Nod Krai resources on the mini-map.
Flins’ personal Polearm. Gives a Buff after the wielder uses their Burst and another Buff after the wielder triggers Lunar-Charged.
Lauma’s personal weapon. Gives Buffs after a nearby character triggers Lunar-Bloom and when the wielder deals either Hydro or Dendro damage. Both Buffs can exist at the same time and, when they are active together, a 3rd Buff is granted to the party.
New region means new craftable weapons.
The Sword increases Max HP after triggering an Elemental Reaction, the Claymore increases EM after triggering an Elemental Reaction, the Catalyst increases Bloom and Lunar-Bloom damage, the Polearm increases Electro-Charged and Lunar-Charged damage, and the Bow increases EM after triggering an Elemental Reaction.
There are also 2 other weapons being added, though the sources are yet unknown.
The 1st is Moonweaver’s Dawn, a Sword that increases Elemental Burst damage by a set amount and then increases it some more if the max Energy of the wielder is within a certain threshold. The 2nd is Lightweaver’s Lyre. It’s a Catalyst that increases the wielder’s EM after they use their Elemental Skill.
This is the DPS Artifact. The 2-piece increases EM, the 4-piece increases the CRIT Rate of the wearer (if they are On-Field) when a Lunar-based reaction is triggered. The amount of CRIT Rate provided depends on the party’s Moonsign level (see below). It also provides bonus damage to Lunar-based reactions based on Moonsign level.
The name hasn’t been released yet. This is the Support Artifact. The 2-piece gives Energy Recharge, and the 4-piece gives the party an EM buff after the wearer deals Elemental DMG. Like Night of the Sky’s Unveiling, the Buff depends on the party’s Moonsign level (see below).
We will have a whole new region (or, at least, the 1st part of a whole new region) to run around in. That means more chests to find, more puzzles to solve, more waypoints and statues to open up, more enemies to fight, and more oculi to find. The Nod Krai version is called “Lunar-oculus”. Personally, I prefer the name I thought of before the leaks, which was “Mooculus,” but that might just be me.
In tandem with the new Lunar reactions, there will be a new party-based system called Moonsign. Effectively, some characters will provide Moonsign levels when they are in the party. When you have 1 such character, you will gain the Nascent Gleam effect. If you have 2, you will get the Ascendant Gleam effect. Unless otherwise stated, if you have Ascendant Gleam, you will also gain the effects of Nascent Gleam (though the effect from the Artifacts doesn’t stack).
The Buffs from the Nod Krai Artifacts listed above are based on whether you have Nascent or Ascendant Gleam. Furthermore, Flins, Lauma, and Aino all have passive effects that are influenced by which level of Moonsign you are at. Basically, for full power, you need at least 2 Nod Krai units in your party.
There will, of course, be the new Archon Quest. I’m assuming it will still be called that. Besides that, there will be at least 4 new events.
The max capacity for your backpack, relics, furniture, and map markers will be increased to 2300, 2400, 2800, and 300, respectively. The max number of saved teams will be increased to 20. And the Nod Krai treasure compass will, at max level, display all Oculi, treasures, and treasure-related clues in the area it is used.
