Bluepoint Games, the studio behind the masterful remakes like Demon’s Souls, had been quietly developing a multiplayer God of War title set in a Greek-inspired world. Leaked screenshots show sprawling temples, eerie caverns, and a corrupted armory that may have belonged to Hades himself.

The environments weren’t just beautiful, as they were built for battle. Layouts hinted at cooperative and competitive gameplay, with status effects and environmental hazards that could turn the very tides themselves. The presence of Hades suggests the game was set before God of War III, opening up rich narrative possibilities. And the aesthetic? A haunting fusion of Greek and Norse mythology, with Einherjar-like statues and glowing green weapons reminiscent of Ragnarok. 

But Sony pulled the plug. Alongside another liver-service title from Bend Studio, this multiplayer experiment was shelved, reportedly due to concerns about long-term viability and fan skepticism toward live-service models. The cancellation left fans stunned, but the story doesn’t end there.
