If you’ve been following the current storyline of Honkai Star Rail in Amphoreus, you’ll know who Hysilens and Cerydra are… sort of. Both of them are unseen members of the Chrysos Heirs who have been mentioned in passing. One works behind the scenes, and the other is supposed to be dead. Why/how she’s playable come 3.5, we don’t know. Guess we’ll actually have to play the game to find out.

About Honkai: Star Rail Leaks

All leaks are subject to change. As such, a full, in-depth, definitive analysis of a character, light cone, relic, or event would be ill-advisable at this time. To that end, I’ll be covering the base level premise of each character so that you can make a moderately informed decision on which character(s) you want to prepare for.

If you want a full guide for a character, check out my work here when the character releases.

Characters: The Unseen Chrysos Heirs

With Phainon now part of the roster, we only have 4 Chrysos Heirs unaccounted for. When these 2 come out, only the Demigods of Earth and Time will be missing (I’m making the assumption there is a demigod of time and that the Trailblazer is just a placeholder).

Hysilens

The presumed dead Chrysos Heir of Phagousa, the ocean god, will, somehow, miraculously be playable. The why is yet to be determined (and even if it were, I wouldn’t spoil it anyway), but right now it doesn’t matter. What matters is that Hysilens is a character we have all been waiting for: Physical Nihility.

As of now, her kit allows her to decrease the damage enemies do, increase the damage they take, and apply all 4 types of DoTs (Burn, Wind Shear, Shock, and Bleed). She applies these DoTs when either she or her allies use their abilities on enemies. Note, she works off “base chance”, so she’ll need Effect Hit Rate, as well as ATK and SPD.

Cerydra

The mysterious demigod of law and heir to the authority of Talanton, Cerydra is the Chrysos Heir who works from behind the scenes, manipulating outcomes to her benefit. Rather perfect for a Harmony character, although I would have preferred her to be Fire instead of Wind.

Cerydra’s kit is a very patient one. She applies a buff to an ally with her Skill, which gives them Bonus ATK equal to a percentage of her own. When she does so, she gains a stack of “Charge” (name will probably be changed).

Once she reaches a certain level of charge, when the ally who has her Buff next uses their Skill, the Buff will duplicate it. That means you get two Skills (with all the Buffs and Enhancements) for the price of one.

In terms of Stats, she wants ATK, both flat and percent. She needs about 4000 at the moment. Subject to change, of course.

Light Cones: This Round, We Get 3

Besides the Light Cones for the 2 new characters, there will also be a 4-Star one given out as a reward for the Flagship Event.

Why Does the Ocean Sing

Light Cone for Hysilens. Give Effect Hit Rate, has a “base chance” to inflict a debuff that increases the DoT damage taken by enemies hit by the wielder’s abilities, and provides a SPD buff to allies who hit the enemy with said debuff.

Era Engraved by Golden Blood

Cerydra’s personal Light Cone. Give ATK. When the wielder uses their Ultimate, they recover a Skill Point (no caveats). When they use their Skill on an ally, they increase the ally’s Skill’s damage.

Maze Restaurant Forever

The 4-Star Light Cone reward for the Flagship Event. It’s for Harmony characters. It provides bonus ATK to the wielder in 2 ways. First, by having it equipped. Second, by applying a Buff to them when they use their Skill.

Event Overview

The 2 events for this patch are The Chrysos Maze Grand Restaurant (Flagship) and Old Brews & New Friends (second half).

As the name suggests, the Flagship Event has you managing a restaurant. Apparently, it’s in a maze. Gameplay is supposedly divided into 2 parts: farming and restaurant management.

The second event takes place in Penacony. You’ll serve drinks to guests who come by. Basically, just a chance to interact with playable characters and NPCs.
