How to Get Mega Delphox in Pokémon Legends: Z-A

Step 1: Find and Catch Fennekin

Before you can get a Mega Delphox, you first need to acquire its base form, Fennekin. Unlike some other starter Pokémon that may be chosen at the beginning of the game, Fennekin must be found and caught in the wild areas of Lumiose City or earned through a specific side mission.

The most reliable way to get a Fennekin is by completing Side Mission #008: “Get Well, Fennekin.” This mission becomes available as you progress through the main story. Upon completion, you will be rewarded with a Fennekin that you can add to your party. Fennekin can also be found as a rare spawn in certain Wild Zones, but the side mission provides a guaranteed encounter.

Step 2: Evolve Fennekin into Delphox

Once you have Fennekin, the next step is to evolve it through its evolutionary line. The process is straightforward and based on leveling up your Pokémon.

1. Evolve Fennekin into Braixen: Raise your Fennekin to Level 16.
2. Evolve Braixen into Delphox: Raise your Braixen to Level 36.

Train your Pokémon by battling wild Pokémon and other trainers throughout Lumiose City. Using Exp. Candy can also speed up the leveling process significantly. Once your Braixen reaches Level 36, it will evolve into the powerful Fox Pokémon, Delphox.

Step 3: Obtain the Delphoxite Mega Stone

With your Delphox ready, the final piece of the puzzle is acquiring its unique Mega Stone, the Delphoxite. This item is what enables Delphox to Mega Evolve during battle.

In Pokémon Legends: Z-A, the Delphoxite is not found in the overworld. Instead, it is a special reward tied to the game’s online competitive mode, the Z-A Battle Club.

To get the Delphoxite, you must:

• Participate in Season 2 of the Z-A Battle Club’s online Ranked Battles.
• Achieve a certain rank or accumulate enough points during the season to unlock the Delphoxite as a promotional reward.

Keep an eye on in-game announcements for the specific requirements to earn the Delphoxite during the competitive season. Once you have the stone, simply give it to your Delphox to hold. When you enter a battle, you will have the option to Mega Evolve your Delphox, unleashing its full power and transforming it into the magnificent Mega Delphox.
