ZZZ’s version of Robinhood is also a vampire. Because, of course, he is. While technically not a blood-sucking undead, Hugo Vlad is definitely Dracula-inspired. And, as a member of Mockingbird, he robs from the rich elites and redistributes wealth to the poor. Talk about wearing multiple hats. An Attack, S-Rank unit, Hugo likes to take advantage of his enemies when they are at their weakest. You might call it a little bit of karmic retribution.
While not a Stun character, Hugo benefits from Stun considerably. First of all, part of his Core Skill gives him increased ATK if there are 1 or 2 Stun characters in the party with him (2 gives more ATK than 1).
Another part of his Core Skill as increase his Daze DMG against enemies that aren’t Stunned, which helps to accelerate the process. This is very important because of Hugo’s main DMG value: Totalize.
Totalize is the true powerhouse of Hugo’s kit. When he uses his EX Special Attack or his Ultimate against an enemy that is Stunned, they will take Totalize DMG. The DMG of Totalize is increased by the amount of time remaining on the Stun. More time left on the Stun means more DMG.
The only drawback is that after taking Totalize DMG, the Stunned state will immediately end. Think of it like a game that has Sleep. The sleeping enemy takes extra damage when struck but will wake up immediately after being hit.
Effectively, Hugo wants enemies to be Stunned as much as possible. Besides the extra Daze DMG he can do to enemies that aren’t yet Stunned, after he triggers Totalize, a portion of the remaining Stun duration will be converted into Daze. He can, effectively, apply well over half a bar worth of Daze by himself.
CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG are very important to him. Part of his Core Skill increases both Stats when he hits an enemy with his Chain Attack. Might as well capitalize on that and give him more.
Give him CRIT DMG for his Disc Drive 4, Ice DMG for his Disc 5, and ATK for his Disc Drive 6. Woodpecker Electro 4/Branch & Blade Song 2 are good options, but you can play around with Hormone Punk 4 as well if you want.
If you can’t get his personal W-Engine, he can make good use out of Deep Sea Visitor and The Brimstone for S-Rank options. As for A-Rank choices, there’s Marcato Desire, Gilded Blossom, and Street Superstar.
You only really want to bring Stun characters with him. As of right now, only 2 Stun characters can team up with him to gain their Additional Abilities (Koleda and Anby). All others, however, are fair game. Use who you think feels best.
You can, obviously, only bring 1 Stun character, though you’ll be forgoing a significant amount of ATK. However, if you wanted to bring a Support instead, Rina (assuming you had Lycaon in the team) or Soukaku wouldn’t be bad options. Ironically, despite being from the same faction, he doesn’t work well with Vivian.
