LCK 2025: GenG Versus T1 Game Five – T1’s Poke Composition Collapses

A disastrous game four from T1 gave GenG a way back into the series. One victory stands between the two LCK giants from advancing in the Playoffs. T1 drafted a poke composition utilizing champions that they have struggled to play against and win with. They failed to execute against the dive from GenG. GenG continues their run in the LCK Playoffs, while T1 is out and must win a Bo5 against the LPL 4th seed to qualify for the Swiss Stage.

LCK 2025: T1 Drafts Their Demon Champions

Maokai and Ziggs are two champions that have haunted T1 fans and players. Most likely out of fear for GenG picking them away, T1 locked in Ziggs, Maokai, and Jayce. As a response, GenG has drafted an ideal dive composition. GenG must not get poked out before teamfights to be effective.

LCK 2025: GenG Match T1’s Moves

T1 has learnt their lesson after failing to execute a mid-game with Ziggs against DK. They moved around the map as a unit, trying to force down towers. GenG read the plays, always matching T1. Gumayusi managed to get the first tower before plates fell, but it took significantly longer for them to break the other Tier Ones. GenG keeps the game from snowballing too far into T1’s favor. GenG also did a great job of prioritizing Drakes, forcing T1 into an uncomfortable position later on.

LCK 2025: GenG Execute Better

The Drake advantage for GenG forces T1 to contest Soul Point and the Soul fight. On both occasions, T1 is unable to land an effective poke on GenG before they get engaged. GenG secures the Mountain Soul, which is ideal against poke, and the Baron right after. GenG barrels down mid-lane and the desperation attempts from T1 falter, giving GenG a 3-2 series victory.

GenG Stay Alive

With the victory, GenG has improved their World Championship seeding and qualified for the Swiss Stage. They advance for a rematch against KT Rolster in the Lower Bracket of the LCK Playoffs. T1 is out of LCK contention and will now face off against the LPL 4th seed to make it to the Swiss Stage.
