GenG and T1 continue their legendary history against each other today. The winner will advance to the LCK Playoffs and improve their seeding for the World Championship. T1 was in control for the majority of the game. A couple of mistakes from T1, under pressure from GenG’s map movements, allowed the MSI champions to recover in the game. The series promises at least four games with the form from both teams.
GenG is one of the teams that consistently plays team compositions with four melee champions to significant success. They have started the series with that composition, relying on Ruler as the predominant damage source. Kiin on Camille will become a damage threat if he is accelerated or if he can get to the late game.

T1 Composition
During the early game, neither team got a significant gold lead. The first team fight was where T1 broke open the game. They took down Ruler early enough to get four kills. T1 continued their success and had a gold lead around 2k. They were unable to increase the lead, but they managed to gain a chokehold on the game by putting themselves on Cloud Soul point. T1 has the opportunity to take Baron in trade for GenG, going for the Cloud Drake to deny T1’s Soul.
Instead of T1 forcing Baron, it would be GenG. They pull T1 around the map, allowing Kiin to sneak away the Drake. GenG buys themselves more time before they lose the game. GenG manages to catch Doran on the sidelane, giving the shutdown gold over to Kiin, while T1 takes Baron. Faker teleports to the mid-lane Tier 1, which GenG collapses on. The fight is back-and-forth, but importantly, GenG removes all but one of the Baron buffs and gets more shutdown gold. The game is now even with T1 pushing for a bot Tier 2. Faker misses his Shockwave on Ruler, which triggers Duro to engage. The lead GenG built from the fight allows them to win the game.

Player of the Game – Chovy
The form for both GenG and T1 has seemed to ramp up for this iconic series. Only a couple of mistakes from both teams gave either team an advantage. It would be one teleport misplaced from Faker, which gave GenG a route back into the game. Hopefully, we get to see a full series between the LCK giants.
