GenG managed to snatch a win away from T1 in the first game of the LCK Playoffs series. T1 should have a chance to respond, now on the blue side for the draft. Oner’s Jarvan IV returns to dominate the Rift one more time. He visited the GenG immobile champions multiple times to put T1 ahead. The lead was too much for GenG to recover from, and the series is tied 1-1.
Qiyana is a priority for teams during drafts. Despite her lack of success throughout the LCK, teams still believe that she has the potential to dominate the Rift. Can Canyon get the first win for Qiyana in Korea? On the other side, Oner gets his hands on Jarvan IV, the champion on whom he got his first pentakill during their previous series against DK.
T1 Composition
GenG Composition
During T1’s series against DK, Oner dominated. Part of his success was visiting lanes often to get himself and his laners ahead. He did the same in the second game of this series. Ruler and Chovy, without flash, were not allowed to play the game. Faker was brought even with Chovy, while Gumayusi almost had an item worth of gold lead over Ruler.
The gold lead for T1 is more significant than in the first game, especially considering the team compositions. GenG needs T1 to make mistakes for them to get back into the game. Canyon is not significantly behind Oner, but he has little agency given T1’s lead. Most of the gold falls on Gumayusi. GenG can never get close to the T1 AD carry. T1 closes out the game to tie up the series.

Player of the Game – Oner
While the series is even, the advantage goes towards T1. They were ahead in the first game, but GenG punished their mistakes. If they can continue their control of the games and shore up crucial mistakes, they might take this series away from the defending MSI Champions. There are at least two more games left in the series, and we might see three.
