The return of the LCK mostly had the expected results, but some have shocked everyone. The week began with the biggest surprise of them all, as Dplus Kia fell to BRION. T1 also managed to break GenG Esports’ 27-series win streak after back-to-back 3-2 defeats against them at MSI. GenG became the first team to qualify for the World Championship after winning MSI and securing their spot in the LCK playoffs.

T1 Versus HLE
During the regular season, HLE dismantled T1 in both series. However, once it reached the Road to MSI, T1 kicked into another gear, winning the series 3-0. T1 needs to continue their upward trajectory, while HLE must regain their footing and cement themselves as the second-best team in the LCK.
BFX Versus BRO
With only three spots available in the Rise Group, every match matters. Dplus almost has their spot guaranteed, but the rest of the teams are in contention. BFX and BRO are on the same series score, and a victory for either team will propel them towards a Play-In spot. BRO has the advantage after winning two series in a row, but the BROlievers must not get excited yet.
