FearX versus BRION was our featured matchup for the LCK Rise group this week. In some facets, it provided. However, BRO’s mid-game mistakes kept them from winning a game in the series. Hanwha Life demonstrated the tier divide between Nongshim and the top three teams of the LCK. Both matches ended in 2-0 victories, with the HLE series being complete domination.
Initial Prediction
BFX 1-2 BRO
Result
BFX 2-0 BRO
Summary
BRO saw themselves take a gold lead in both games of their series today. In the first, they had upwards of a 5k gold lead, with most of that falling on Morgan’s Gwen. A mistake from Morgan cost BRO greatly, as not only did he fall, but so did most of his team, while Clozer looked on in disappointment. With the game even, BRO could never find the winning teamfight. Game two was more back and forth, with both teams having questionable plays. VicLa had his best performance so far in game one on Azir, but he struggled on Orianna, having a weak laning phase and being caught in bad positions.

After T1 dismantled KT yesterday, there was a wonder how HLE would fare against NS. The series had a similar outcome. HLE dominated proceedings. There were a couple of hiccups along the way and some impressive moments from NS. The botlane of HLE were on top form in this series, being by far the best players in both games. NS replaced Jiwoo with Trigger for the series. He looked better, but still not optimal for this team. The match between T1 and HLE is not set up perfectly, with both teams starting the week with a 2-0 victory.
