Thursday, May 30, 2024, League of Legends (LoL) released Patch Notes 14.11, and it comes with a couple of bug fixes, champion and item adjustments, and more exciting things.
Before diving into the details of LoL patch 14.11, Riot Games mentioned patch 14.10 that went unpublished but is “already live” in their blog post. Their page reads:
“In case you missed it we published a mid-patch update for patch 14.10. But due to an issue on our end, we weren’t able to publish them as quickly as we usually do. Just to make sure some important changes aren’t missed, we’ve noted them again in this patch, but they were already live. We’ll denote the ones that were already live in case you’re reading any of the notes from the team and you don’t remember the change from 14.10 that they’re talking about.”
The LoL patch 14.11 is bringing in a few champion nerfs and buffs here and there, some new skins, and several out-of-game changes. Let’s dive into the specifics.
According to Riot Games’ blog post, patch 14.11 brings players a new fist bump emote that comes with fireworks in the Arena. Players can use this emote by pressing the key [U]. This adds a new way for players to celebrate and cheer on their duo in-game.
Additionally, patch 14.11 also comes with the return of the Blue Essence Emporium. The Blue Essence Emporium will run from May 30 at 6:00 PM UTC until June 19 at 6:00 PM UTC. However, players still will not be able to gift mystery wards and icons due to technical issues. “We’re still working on bringing it back but weren’t able to do it for this Blue Essence Emporium,” says Riot.
In League of Legends, the Essence Emporium is an event that happens twice a year in which players can trade blue essence for emotes, icons, exclusive skins, and other cosmetics. Players can earn Blue Essence, an in-game currency, by leveling up and completing missions.
Consequently, LoL patch 14.11 also gives players an opportunity to report offensive Riot IDs during both the champion select phase and in the end-of-game lobby. To do this in champion select, simply click the report button located next to the player’s portrait and choose “Inappropriate Name” from the dropdown menu.
In Patch 14.11, Riot Games is reinstating the Apex MMR Duo Restriction for Solo/Duo Ranked games. Players with Grandmaster (GM) or higher MMR outside of China (CN) and Korea (KR) will no longer be able to duo queue. Similarly, players with Master or higher MMR in CN and KR will also be restricted from duo queueing.
The visible rank duo restriction remains the same as in previous patches. As a reminder, players with a GM or higher rank outside of CN and KR, as well as those with a Master or higher rank in CN and KR, cannot duo queue.
With regards to the LoL patch 14.11, the Middle East (ME) server will also officially launch on June 25, 2024. From the launch date until September 2, 2024, players with qualified accounts can transfer to the ME server for just 1 Blue Essence. After this promotional period, the transfer cost will increase to the standard 2600 RP for a one-way transfer. Additionally, Riot Games will introduce TFT Mobile on the ME server later in the year.
Teams have recently reintroduced lane-swapping in professional play. However, Riot Games aims to make this strategy costlier. To achieve this, they are strengthening early-game turret defenses and increasing the gold reward for taking the First Turret, encouraging more active engagement from teams.

Here is a comprehensive breakdown of the changes in the League of Legends Champions brought by the patch 14.11.
Caitlyn
According to Riot Games, Caitlyn is currently powerful due to First Strike and they plan to increase her sustained damage while reducing her burst potential slightly. These adjustments aim to maintain her strength but redistribute her effectiveness.
Base Stats
W – Yordle Snap Trap
R – Ace in the Hole
Camille
Camille’s resurgence in the top lane is welcomed, but Riot Games doesn’t want her to dominate as the strongest top laner. Therefore, they are reducing her dueling power to balance her with other champions in a solo queue.
Q – Precision Protocol
R – Hextech Ultimatum
Corki
These changes for Corki were implemented in the mid-patch update for 14.10, and we’re mentioning them again for clarity. They are already active in the game.
Q – Phosphorus Bomb
E – Gatling Gun
R – Missile Barrage
Draven
According to Riot Games, Draven was nerfed too much in a recent micro patch. Therefore, Riot Games is updating his recommended items to guide players in the right direction and adding some power that doesn’t focus solely on bursting down lane opponents.
Passive – League of Draven
Gangplank
Gangplank was affected by recent crit item changes, but he’s still viable with Trinity Force and Infinity Edge builds. However, he’s somewhat weak even with these optimal builds, so Riot Games is boosting his ability to engage in melee combat against other top laners. This aims to diversify his strategies beyond relying solely on Powder Keg combos.
Base Stats
Gnar
Riot Games is buffing Mini Gnar’s damage to improve his effectiveness in isolated side lane skirmishes, without enhancing his teamfighting abilities, which typically require advanced play seen in professional matches.
Base Stats
Q – Boomerang Throw
Hwei
Hwei benefited greatly from the changes in 14.10, becoming overpowered in Riot’s view. To address this, they are reducing his wave clear and overall team fight damage to restore balance.
QQ – Devastating Fire
QE – Molten Fissure
Irelia
Irelia received too much power from recent systemic changes, so Riot Games is reducing some of her strength. They are specifically targeting her high health growth, aiming to make her rely more on skillful dodging and using Defiant Dance to mitigate damage.
Base Stats
Jinx
Jinx benefited greatly from the ADC item update, enjoying streamlined stats and straightforward builds. Due to Infinity Edge’s nerf in this patch, Riot Games is giving her a minor adjustment to maintain balance and allow other crit champions to compete effectively.
Base Stats
Karthus
Karthus is being nerfed further because the previous Blackfire Torch change didn’t suffice. This adjustment is mild as he’s almost in a good place after the micropatch. Since he didn’t require faster jungle clear speeds with the item changes, Riot Games is reducing his Q damage to balance this out.
Q – Lay Waste
Kha’Zix
Kha’Zix is receiving a buff to improve his clear speed and overall kill potential, aiming particularly at his Q damage to benefit players early in the game. This adjustment is to compensate for a previous ratio nerf and address his recent win rate loss.
Q – Taste Their Fear
K’Sante
Riot Games is adjusting K’Sante to be more aggressive and less focused on tanking damage. This includes giving him more lane power and life steal with All Out while reducing his ability to absorb heavy damage. According to Riot, their goal is to keep him viable in the top lane for skilled players without making him the sturdiest tank. Consequently, they are also updating his recommended runes to highlight stronger but less popular options.
Q – Ntofo Strikes
W – Path Maker
R – All Out
Lulu
Lulu’s R knockup is increased, and cooldown at lower ranks is reduced. This compensates for the nerfs to Shurelya’s Battlesong, emphasizing her supportive strengths in empowering carries.
R – Wild Growth
Master Yi
After being over-nerfed in Patch 14.9 and losing power with Lethal Tempo’s removal, Riot Games is addressing Master Yi’s suppressed base stat growth. They aim to undo some of this suppression by adding significant power, particularly benefiting less experienced players. Master Yi’s base health growth, armor growth, attack damage growth, and attack speed growth have all been increased in this patch.
Base Stats
Mordekaiser
Mordekaiser’s passive damage and Q damage late game are reduced in this patch, while the monster cap is increased. These changes target Mordekaiser’s strength in lower MMRs, particularly his isolated Q and E abilities. Additionally, some power is restored to his passive for jungle play, with a focus on minimizing impact on the top lane role.
Passive – Darkness Rise
Q – Obliterate
Nami
Nami’s base attack damage is increased, and her W mana cost is reduced at higher ranks, while her R slow is increased at lower ranks. These buffs aim to boost Nami’s win rate to match her ease of play and enhance her laning and ultimate abilities.
Base Stats
W – Ebb and Flow
R – Tidal Wave
Slow: 50/60/70% >>> 70%
Nasus
Nasus’ Attack Damage Growth is increased, and his E mana cost is reduced while its armor reduction is increased. These adjustments aim to improve Nasus’ performance, particularly enhancing his Q synergy with Trinity Force and increasing the popularity of his Sundered Sky ability as a second item choice.
Base Stats
E – Spirit Fire
Ornn
Ornn can now upgrade all Legendary items to Masterwork items, simplifying his passive and ensuring consistent power access without relying on allies’ item choices.
Passive – Living Forge
Pantheon
Pantheon’s Q now has an AP ratio, W deals more damage based on max HP, and E grants armor and magic resist after use. These changes aim to improve Pantheon’s scaling with bruiser items and against other fighters and tanks, while also enhancing his empowered Aegis Assault. Some AP ratios are adjusted without expecting a significant impact on Summoner’s Rift, but potentially adding fun ARAM or Arena builds.
Q – Comet Spear
W – Shield Vault
E – Aegis Assault
R – Grand Starfall
Samira
These changes for Samira were implemented in the mid-patch update for 14.10, and we’re mentioning them again for clarity. They are already active in the game.
Base Stats
W – Blade Whirl
R – Inferno Trigger
Singed
Singed’s Q damage is increased and his R cooldown is reduced at lower ranks to balance his recent setbacks in the game. These changes aim to compensate for a previous unnecessary nerf to his Q and the high cooldown of his ultimate, especially considering the recent Ghost nerf and Singed’s lack of ability haste build.
Q – Poison Trail
R – Insanity Potion
Smolder
Smolder’s Base Attack Damage, passive crit scaling, and Q critical strike scaling are increased while Q cost is reduced. These changes aim to make high AD crit builds more effective and encourage more frequent spell usage, compensating for mana itemization changes.
Passive – Dragon Practice
Q – Super Scorcher Breath
Taliyah
Taliyah’s Q damage is reduced to balance her performance in both elite and pro play, especially as she benefits from a new item favoring her early game. These changes aim to scale back her early power and affect both her roles, with a greater impact on elite jungling due to clear speed considerations.
Q – Threaded Volley
Balcfire Torch
This change for the Blackfire Torch was implemented in the mid-patch update for 14.10, and we’re mentioning it again for clarity. They are already active in the game.
Celestial Opposition
This change aims to make using these items together feel better for players.
Essence Reaver
Fated Ashes
These changes for the Fated Ashes were implemented in the mid-patch update for 14.10, and we’re mentioning it again for clarity. They are already active in the game.
Immortal Shieldbow
This aims to provide more burst resilience for users seeking a strong defensive option.
Infinity Edge
Infinity Edge is being nerfed because it’s currently too powerful, reducing the potential burst damage available to ADCs from lucky critical strikes.
Knight’s Vow
These changes for the Knights were implemented in the mid-patch update for 14.10, and we’re mentioning it again for clarity. They are already active in the game.
Statikk Shiv
Statikk Shiv is receiving a buff to become more stat-efficient and gain movement speed, distinguishing it better from other non-critical strike items.
Serrated Dirk
To address unintended strength, Serrated Dirk’s stackability is limited to one per inventory, although multiple finished items can still be built from it.
Zeal
This change for the Zeal was implemented in the mid-patch update for 14.10, and we’re mentioning it again for clarity. They are already active in the game.

For ARAM balance, adjustments are made in response to Summoner’s Rift changes.
