Daredevil’s Role and Abilities

As a Duelist, his primary role is to seek out and eliminate high-value enemy backliners, such as supports and damage dealers. With 325 HP, he is relatively fragile and relies on his mobility and defensive tools to survive.

Passive Abilities

• Radar Sense: Daredevil’s most defining trait. He can detect enemy movements within a large radius, even through walls. This provides invaluable intelligence for both you and your team, making it nearly impossible for enemies to get the drop on you.
• Blind Ascent: Daredevil can cling to and leap off walls, giving him incredible vertical mobility. Use this to access high ground, create unexpected flanking routes, or disengage from a fight.

Active Abilities

• Justice Jab (Primary Attack): A basic four-swing combo with his Billy Clubs that generates Fury with each successful hit. This is your primary tool for building resources.
• Righteous Cross (Combo Follow-up): After using certain abilities like Devil’s Catch, you can surge forward with a powerful crossing strike. This move also generates Fury and serves as a key combo extender.
• Devil’s Catch (Grapple): Fire a grappling line that pulls both you and your target toward each other. Hitting an enemy grants a significant amount of Fury and enables a follow-up with Righteous Cross. This is your main engagement tool.
• Sonic Pursuit (Target Lock): Lock onto an enemy from a distance, granting you increased movement speed and damage reduction from that specific target. When in range, you can press the ability again to dash to the target, blinding them and restoring Fury. The cooldown resets if you eliminate your marked target, rewarding aggressive, chained eliminations.
• Infernal Fury (Fury Spender): Consume your stored Fury to unleash one of two powerful attacks:
• • Devil’s Chain: A close-range slam that converts the damage dealt into bonus health for yourself. This is your primary tool for sustain in a duel.
  • Devil’s Throw: A ranged attack that launches your clubs, perfect for finishing off a fleeing enemy or poking from a distance.
• Objection! (Defensive Parry): Daredevil spins his Billy Clubs to block all incoming frontal damage and reflect projectiles. This makes him briefly immune to harm and generates Fury. A well-timed Objection! can negate enemy ultimates and turn the tide of a fight.
• Let the Devil Out (Ultimate): Daredevil damages and applies a stacking “Blind” effect to all enemies in his line of sight, severely limiting their vision. While active, he also gains continuous Fury, allowing him to spam his powerful combo attacks.

Daredevil is not a brawler who can mindlessly jump into a team fight. Success with him requires patience, observation, and decisive action.

1. Hunt, Isolate, and Eliminate

Your primary job is to make the enemy support’s life miserable. Use your Radar Sense to identify where the enemy’s backline is positioned. Use Blind Ascent and flanking routes to approach from an unexpected angle. Once you have a target in your sights, initiate with Devil’s Catch or Sonic Pursuit. Your bread-and-butter combo is to grapple a target, follow up with Righteous Cross, and then use Devil’s Chain for a burst of damage and self-healing. This sequence is often enough to eliminate any 200-250 HP hero before they can react.

2. Master Your Mobility

Daredevil is one of the most mobile characters in the game. You should rarely be on the ground for long. Use wall-climbing to constantly reposition and attack from high ground. Devil's Catch is not just an engagement tool; you can also use it to grapple onto ledges and architecture to quickly escape a losing fight. A good Daredevil is a nightmare to track.

3. The Art of the Parry

Your Objection! ability is arguably your most powerful tool, but it requires perfect timing. Do not use it as a simple shield. Instead, save it to counter critical enemy abilities. Use it to reflect an enemy Iron Man’s Unibeam, negate a Luna Snow freeze, or block a crucial stun. A successful parry can completely swing a duel in your favor and will separate average Daredevil players from great ones.

4. Ultimate for Disruption

Daredevil’s ultimate, Let the Devil Out, is a powerful team-fighting tool. Use it to initiate a push on an objective or to counter an enemy team’s coordinated attack. The blinding effect creates chaos, making it easy for you and your teammates to secure eliminations. While the ultimate is active, your Fury generation is massive, so spam your Infernal Fury abilities to maximize your damage output.

Best Team Compositions and Synergies

Daredevil thrives when paired with characters who can either enable his dives or follow up on the chaos he creates.

• The Punisher: This is Daredevil’s premier synergy partner. Their “Blind Verdict” Team-Up ability allows Punisher to launch a special grenade at Daredevil’s Sonic Pursuit target, damaging and blinding them before Daredevil even arrives. This combo guarantees a successful assassination.
• Storm: Her ability to slow enemies and control areas with her wind and lightning makes it incredibly difficult for targets to escape Daredevil’s relentless pursuit.
• Magik: Her portals provide Daredevil with even more mobility, allowing for instant repositioning across the map. He can dive in, secure a kill, and have Magik open a portal for an immediate and safe escape.
