Massive Reveal: Atomic Heart 2 Incoming

We’ve all been waiting for it—well, a good number of us have been waiting for it at least—Atomic Heart returns with Atomic Heart 2! Yes, the action-adventure RPG set in a retrofuturistic universe that had us captivated with all its cinematic scenes, the whiny AI Charles, and a robotic uprising that left our main character scratching his head over what went wrong in the span of seconds!

And the sequel? It’s gearing up to be just as good—if not better—than the first game.

Bigger World, Deeper Lore

According to the devs at Mundfish, Atomic Heart 2 will feature a living world rich with possibilities and promises to be more story-driven, with an emphasis on role-playing elements and player freedom.

Does that mean more open world areas? More places to explore? Even more lore to uncover the truth of what’s actually been happening in this strange universe? All signs point to yes.

This time, instead of being isolated to one large area, the game is expanding to a global scale. There’s a good chance we’ll get to explore different parts of the world and how they’ve changed from what we’d recognize in our universe.

New Faces, Familiar Threats

And along with that global setting, we’re expecting new characters like the ones we see in the announcement trailer! Yeah—the masked figure holding a guitar-shaped gun? Is this our original main character in disguise? That’s unconfirmed, especially since we also see him wearing his uniform from the first game.

Could this be a new protagonist, a secondary character, or even better—an antihero looking to rewrite the world?

We can expect a world full of science fiction to come to life in Atomic Heart 2! And yes, we’re pretty sure a lot of people are waiting for those giant robot soldier ladies to return—and it seems that’s happening. They’re flying alongside aircraft in the trailer, confirming their comeback.
