BLG catches Faker when he looks to place a ward in their jungle. Elk has a disastrous start to the game, having to give up a lot of farm. T1 secures the Grubs with the bot lane advantage. First Blood Tower, the first two Drakes, and the Feats of Warfare go to the LCK Giants.
The Korean representatives get five kills to stifle the BLG gold lead. BLG responds by winning two consecutive fights. Soul point goes to the LCK team. The tempo gives BLG the Atakan. With BLG having a vision advantage on the Drake, T1 uses Ryze’s ultimate to Baron. They turn on BLG, get four kills, and secure the Mountain Soul. On the Baron push, the teams trade two for two. BLG gets baited by the same Baron play. Doran flanks to find Knight, and they end the series.
BLG had moments in the series, but whenever they got the chance, they got shut down. In the team fights and skirmishes, the LCK second seed was far better. Faker earns his 200th international victory. They move on to face GenG Esports in the Upper Bracket Final, while BLG must journey through the Lower Bracket. They begin the recovery against FlyQuest.
