Netflix plunges deep into the world of mobile gaming with an announcement of an animated series based on Supercell’s tremendously popular Clash of Clans and Clash Royale titles. Huge new streams will open for the Clash universe to bring its dearly beloved characters and their comedic battles to streaming.

A New Adventure in the Clash Universe

The series follows a stubborn yet losing Barbarian with an intention of gathering an army of misfits, defending their village, and absorbing the politics of wacky war. The show is set to feature the same brand of humor and action that the fanatics have loved from the games.

Creative Forces Behind the Show

Fletcher Moules, who directed the official Clash of Clans animated shorts, will act as showrunner, with Ron Weiner, who had credits on 30 Rock and Silicon Valley, serving as co-executive producer.

ICON Creative Studio, the minds behind Young Jedi Adventures, will handle animation work, which guarantees a visual style well-grounded in the game’s aesthetics.

Curtis Lelash, Supercell’s head of film and TV, was broadly enthusiastic when talking about the development of, “Think epic battles, immaculate barbarian mustaches, and the kind of humor our players know and love.

“They have always been clamouring for a Clash series, and we are super excited to finally say: It’s happening!”

The plan is, after all, allied to work toward extending the whole storytelling realm from games. Supercell had previously put out Clash-A-Rama!, a YouTube series promoted by writers from The Simpsons, as well as the animated short Lost & Crowned, which together give a shared universe treatment to characters from Clash of Clans and Clash Royale.

The Rising Trend in Game Screenographies

Clash of Clans and Clash Royale shall trace the footsteps of other video game-related content and have been slicked on streaming platforms. The Last of Us and Fallout. The streaming giant has also tasted success with Arcane: A League of Legends Story and Castlevania, suggesting that there is an increasing interest in game-inspired narratives.

Combined, Clash of Clans and Clash Royale have an audience of more than 4 billion downloads and 180 billion hours of gameplay. The animated series barely announces enough excitement among the fans who are eager to see some of these characters and their stories dramatized in a completely new way.

While no concrete date has been set as yet, the series is still in pre-production, meaning fans may expect to see a strategy-comedy series. For more gaming gear recommendations, check out Total Apex Gaming
