Palworld has been under a microscope recently, with the confirmation of Nintendo litigation being addressed in previous weeks. That has not stopped developer Pocketpair from continuing to try and improve the game, however, and they have now announced a future content update that doubles as a collaboration of sorts. Tide of Terraria will be released for Palworld this summer, and it brings more than just a basic aesthetic. New pals and new islands, among other additions, will make for a great deal of content for fans to enjoy.
Pocketpair has been through a lot over the last months. With the shutdown of certain features, including the former pal-catching mechanic, many had been speculating that Nintendo had brought lawsuits against the Palworld developer. The team confirmed these rumors, and while they admitted to changes in the game, they continued to push back on the idea that they had violated any patents. The team also promised to continue to deliver the best possible experience for users. With the announcement of details on Tides of Terraria on May 12, it seems Pocketpair is making good on that promise.
Fans have been aware of the Palworld and Terraria collaboration since November of last year. However, the recent announcement has given players details on what to expect, and the content should be more than enough to fuel their appetite. Pocketpair themselves describe the update as “massive”, and John “Bucky” Buckley shared more on his personal social media as well. He says to expect “A packed update full of new Pals, new islands, new things to do, and most importantly… the Terraria collab!”
Any fans who were worried about Nintendo litigation interfering with Palworld updates and content can officially rest easy. Pocketpair has not been one to give up or back off from the gaming giant, despite all the commentary since the game’s launch. They have found ways to work around the issues and are continuing to move the game forward. Tales of Terraria releases this summer and is bringing a great deal of content to keep fans engaged, as if it were an entire DLC or more. Palworld players should remain excited for the future.
