Goomy, alongside the rest of its evolutionary line featuring Sliggoo and Goodra, first debuted in the Kalos region during the sixth generation of the main series games. It also has Hisuian forms for its two evolutions which debuted in Pokemon Legends: Arceus

The June 2024 Goomy Community Day is set to happen on June 9, 2024, Sunday, from 2 PM to 5 PM local time.

In Pokemon GO, Goomy evolves into Sliggoo using 25 Goomy candies. It then further evolves into Goodra using 100 Goomy candies.

For this event, evolving Sliggoo during the Goomy Community Day results in a Goodra that knows the charged move Thunder Punch. Players can still evolve Sliggoo into Goodra who knows the move Thunder Punch for five more hours past the conclusion of the event.

Goomy Community Day Bonuses

• Goomy has increased wild spawn rates during the event
• 2× candy for catching Pokemon.

• Lure Modules activated during the Goomy Community Day will last for three whole hours.

During the event, Goomy Community Day–themed Field Research tasks that require you to catch Goomy are available for players to get after spinning PokeStops. The rewards given by those Field Research tasks range from additional encounters with Goomy, Stardust, Great Balls, and more.

There will also be a timed research that will be available for players during the Goomy Community Day. The Goomy Community Day Timed Research gives out one Rainy Lure module. It will be accessible and only be available between 2 PM and 10 PM local time.

On another note, players can also choose to complete four-star Raids against Sliggoo from 5 PM to 10 PM local time for more Goomy encounters past the three-hour community day event. After completing Sliggoo raids, additional Goomy will appear around the gym that hosted the raid for 30 minutes with the same community day shiny rates.
