Tips for Completing Wild Zones

Completing each Wild Zone is a rewarding task that contributes significantly to your progress in Pokémon Legends: Z-A. Here are a few tips to help you catch ’em all:

  • Visit at Different Times: Many Pokémon are diurnal or nocturnal. Make sure to explore each zone during both the day and night to find every species. You can change the time of day by resting at a camp or your apartment.
  • Prepare for Alpha Encounters: Alpha Pokémon are much larger, stronger, and more aggressive than their standard counterparts. Approach them with caution and bring a team of high-level Pokémon with type advantages to stand a chance.
  • Use Stealth: Some Pokémon are timid and will flee on sight. Use tall grass and stealth-enhancing items to sneak up on them for a better chance at a successful capture.
  • Check Your Pokédex: Your Pokédex tracks research tasks for each Pokémon. Completing these tasks, such as catching a certain number or defeating them with super-effective moves, will increase your research level and help you earn rewards from Mable.
  • 100% Completion Reward: When you successfully catch every Pokémon species available within a single Wild Zone, its icon on the map will be adorned with a crown. This also completes a research request from Mable, granting you a significant number of research points toward your next rank.

By systematically exploring each Wild Zone and applying these strategies, you’ll be well on your way to completing your Lumiose City Pokédex and becoming a master trainer.
