POKÉMON LEGENDS Z-A Sets October Release Date

Alongside its release date, Pokémon Legends: Z-A shares an official description, noting: “Pokémon Legends: Z-A is a new frontier for the Pokémon video game series, blending an RPG story unfolding in a single city with action elements and a real-time battle system unlike anything seen before in the franchise. Trainers can look forward to the beginning of a new adventure in Lumiose City—one woven by people and Pokémon together!”

It truly sounds like it’ll be a Pokémon experience like no Pokémon experience ever was. We’re very curious to see how Pokémon will thrive in this more urban environment, and what it means that Pokémon and people will weave this world together! Interestingly enough, we haven’t seen any new Pokémon announced for Pokémon Legends: Z-A yet. In fact, the only Pokémon appearing on the official website for Pokémon Legends: Z-A are its starters (Chikorita, Tepig, and Totodile) and Zygarde 10% Forme, 50% Forme, and Complete Forme. Although other Pokémon have also been confirmed to appear in the game. But we guess we’ll have to stay tuned and see if any new ones appear when Pokémon Legends: Z-A‘s release date comes around.

What we will see feature prominently in the game are Mega Evolutions. Pokémon Legends: Z-A notes “In Lumiose City, you’ll sometimes see Pokémon undergo Mega Evolution—a kind of Evolution that transcends standard Evolution. Effectively using Mega Evolution during battles can dramatically shift the odds of victory in your favor.”

We can’t wait to dive into this exciting new Pokémon game. Once again, Pokémon Legends: Z-A has set its release date for October 16. It’ll be here in the whirl of a Pokéball.
