Resident Evil Requiem Is Bringing Back Leon?

The reveal of the newest Resident Evil game, Resident Evil Requiem, was announced back in June, and since then, the game has gained traction when it comes to hype and revealing details about the game. This has led to a storm of rumors and speculations about the game, and one of the biggest rumors going around is whether Leon will make his return to the series in Requiem. 

Some of the rumors claim that Leon will have his own playthrough story separate from Grace Ashcroft, where the timeline will jump between the two. Another rumor has Leon aged and helping Grace at some point in the game. These are pretty intricate and somewhat probable speculations; however, there’s been no confirmation of these rumors being true, and the devs are getting pretty tired of the baseless speculating that gamers are believing to be true.

Players are Frustrated, and Kumazawa Says We Should Calm Down

Resident Evil Requiem producer, Masato Kumazawa, has issued a statement pertaining to all the rumors. Here’s what he said:

 “Sometimes I talk to people and they act as if various speculation and rumors are just already a confirmed thing,”

“I would like everyone to remember, let’s calm down a bit – what we’ve shown you so far is everything we can say.”

“People get frustrated with us, because even though we didn’t promise things, the rumors and theories were such that they were widely believed.”

And it’s true. Rumors and speculation are one thing, but to claim that these baseless rumors are confirmed in any way or capacity is detrimental to the release of a game. Gamers need to calm down and be patient for the game’s release and/or any other reveals that may happen in the future.
