The Bloodshed 1.0 update adds a lot of new content to the game, which fans are raving about. The highlight of this update is the addition of 2 new characters: Pinchmaster (inspired by claw-adorned crustaceans) and Malachias (inspired by stone gargoyles). Bloodshed 1.0 also features a set of new spells (Burdocks, Pestilence, Axe of Vengeance, and Fireball) alongside new weapons (Tesla Canon and Rocket Launcher) and 5 new relics.
The game’s bestiary has been expanded to include a total of 43 enemies, there’s a new level-up modifier system, as well as new passive abilities, new levels, and user interface improvements. This means players have more options now than ever before and can make use of many different builds and playstyles during their runs.
Fight against a devious cult hellbent on resurrecting an ancient deity to incite the end of days. As these evil cultists progress in their twisted goals, they spawn disturbing creatures and terrifying demons in attempts to keep the player’s opposition at bay. Your survival in this world is entirely dependent on your ability to adapt to changing enemies, upgrade your equipment, and stop your foes in their tracks before it’s too late.
Bloodshed offers up a unique blend of roguelite gameplay with first-person shooter action that challenges players to survive constant waves of adaptive enemies. Players also have access to a stockpile of firearms with fun upgrade possibilities and a range of powerful abilities.
With fast auto-shooter combat, Bloodshed also allows players to switch to manual aiming for better precision. A major part of the game’s charm comes from its pixelated graphics and a retro stylization, as well as its dedication to improving movement inspired by classic Boomer Shooters.
Fans of Bloodshed have long awaited this full release. The game was received quite warmly during its early access period, being praised for its smooth movement, satisfying combat, and nostalgic aesthetic. Bloodshed has loads of potential for future updates, especially in the character department, and is almost certain to make a name for itself in the roguelite FPS scene.
