Street Fighter introduced many world warriors to fight against each other one-on-one in an exciting fighting game genre franchise that has been around for years! Developed by Capcom, they have brought us many beloved additions to play with and learn more about, both with their personality and moveset.
What becomes fascinating about the series, introducing the likes of DLC down the line, one exciting thing to discuss is who they could add next? Both returning characters and even new faces could join the streets to fight others with their unique style of battle and engaging visuals to grip fans alike.
While it is unknown what brand new characters could exist, as anything could be on the table for not only fresh faces but possible collabs, such as Fatal Fury’s Mai Shiranui, have shown interest in crossovers. Though the series has introduced many characters who have yet to make their appearance in the latest entry.
The popular schoolgirl with high energy and a huge fanbase, it is quite peculiar that she has yet to make the cut in the newest entry. Especially after previously being included in Street Fighter V with a new storyline of her new job after graduating from school.
Her moveset was familiar to those who played characters like Ryu, Ken, and Akuma, but it still had a fun spin on it, having a female who looks up to that level of power. Being an iconic addition in the Street Fighter Alpha series, she became a regular appearance even in Street Fighter IV.
Though perhaps Capcom is simply waiting, it might be time eventually to get around to adding this gal so that she can spar with the likes of Kimberly and Lily.
While it can be debated if he is still a Street Fighter character–he still originated in one! Coming from the work of ARIKA, Skullomania is a suited hero, much like a tokusatsu hero. His skull crusher and wacky techniques are a fun addition to the cast.
Though he has made his way, in some fashion, back into the fights on the street with his costume in Street Fighter V–bringing him back as his own fighter is still something sought after! It would certainly be a fun addition to change u,p bringing back classics like M. Bison and Sagat.
Debuting in Street Fighter IV, Hakan is a unique fighter who uses his ability to “oil up” to appear slick and slide across the stage. While he may not be everyone’s favorite, he certainly had a unique appearance that you don’t get to see often in the series designs. Only really matching up to Blanka in terms of distinct looks, Hakan could do with newfound appreciation in Street Fighter 6. It comes packed with the ability to punish you with the power of oil!
His addition to the Street Fighter III series as a boxer with a bit of a dashing attitude really put a spin on the old Balrog archetype. With his red car and rose that he shows around, and a personality that many grew to love.
While he would make his appearance in Street Fighter IV, he would miss out on the 5th installment of Street Fighter, and has currently not been seen on the streets with the current 6th title. Being a popular request, perhaps eventually he will make his return to the fight?
Street Fighter 6 is still set to release another year of fighters coming up: with Sagat, C. Viper, Alex, and Ingrid setting the stage for more content arriving in 2026. Ingrid, in particular, is someone who would have otherwise made it into this sort of list, as she had otherwise been an abandoned character by Capcom until the release of Capcom Fighting Collection 2, which contains her appearances in Capcom Fighting Evolution and is updated to the version of Street Fighter Alpha 3 Upper.
