Set 15: K.O. Coliseum has been on the Public Beta Testing Realm for two weeks now. It is now ready to go live for Teamfight Tactics on League servers. We have spent time figuring out how to play compositions and which ones have the lowest skill entry for players picking up the set for the first time. Fortunately, there are a few compositions that are plug-and-play for Set 15: K.O. Coliseum.

Teamfight Tactics Set 15 Compositions

Star Guardian

The easiest to play vertical composition in the new set is Star Guardian. If you see a Star Guardian unit, place it on the board. Each unit will increase the Star Guardian power through a unique bonus and by increasing everyone else’s bonus. It is a standard level eight composition. Poppy and Jinx are needed to stabilize the board, and an early Seraphine will help tremendously. While there are no more Prismatic traits through emblems, the Star Guardian Emblem is a high priority. The unit you can drop in this case is Xayah. Braum and Gwen are the five costs to cap out your board.

Crew

Crew is the quintessential reroll composition for Set 15. As a trait, it functions differently from standard. Instead of extra units increasing the trait tier, every three-star Crew member will upgrade its effectiveness. Aim to hit your first three-star unit at level five. Once done, instead of continuing to roll at five, go to level six. The reason is that your odds of finding crew units will not increase after your first one is a three-star. Your additional units are Strategists like Janna, Jarvan, and Ryze.

Soul Fighter

Another level eight vertical composition where you play the units from the trait. Soul Fighter has two traits in Juggernaut and Sorcerer that proc with only those units. Soul Fighter emblem is not as strong as Star Guardian, but it allows you to hit the Prismatic threshold faster without needing Gwen. Sett and Samira are your stabilizers in the mid-late game. Beyond Soul Fighter units, Edgelords like Volibear or Yone and a Bastion in Braum will be your board ultimate cap.

Crystal Gambit

The high-stakes trait of the set. Unlike previous sets, hitting Crystal Gambit early happens relatively often because of the low cost of Syndra, Janna, and Vi. The trait is bolstered by its emblem, substationally allowing you to hit five earlier, and reach seven Crystal Gambit, which enables you to play to win with the trait. The only tricky part of the composition is knowing how weak you are compared to your competitors. Double Down is a risky move, as one victory will halve your rewards. If you don’t have the emblem, consider transitioning to a powerful late-game board. With it, play all Crystal Gambit units with Braum, Lee Sin, and Gwen as your cap out.

Lulu

Lulu is a unit that enables players to play flexibly. She has a choice of three monsters: Kog’Maw, Rammus, and Smolder. All three offer something different. Kog’Maw is a backline AP threat who has shred and sunder. Rammus is a frontline tank with CC. Smolder is a backline AD threat with Burn. All three units perform exceptionally well with artifacts. Their value increases the earlier you field them; an early Lulu can guide your way. You are not locked to your monster, which allows you to change your game plan if items dictate your path. Protectors, Juggernauts, or Bastions are viable options with all three monsters.
