Due to the holiday break, Teamfight Tactics has not seen changes in five weeks. The Patches’ meta was almost entirely figured out, and some problems arose. Units like T-Hex, Diana, and Yunara dominated the best boards in the game. T-Hex and Yunara, in particular, saw high play rates, with multiple players choosing the compositions in a single game. The wait is almost over as Riot Mortdog has delivered the Patch Rundown for Patch 16.2 of Teamfight Tactics.
All details for the Teamfight Tactics Patch 16.2 Rundown can be found on Riot Mortdog’s official YouTube channel.
Gwen is becoming a new encounter in Patch 16.2 for Teamfight Tactics. Her encounter grants players a random component and a pair of scissors after the first three carousel rounds. The scissors can cut items into components. The encounter has a six percent chance to appear. As a result, Draven, Lissandra, Teemo, and a handful of other encounters have lower odds of appearing.
All emblems in the Teamfight Tactics set are receiving more stats to make them more appealing for players to take. It should make players more excited to put an emblem on a unit.
There is no doubt that the Patch 16.2 for Teamfight Tactics will drastically shift the meta. All of the best performers are getting knocked down. T-Hex will likely not see much playtime in the next set. Yunara might become playable in some spots, but she is no longer the go-to. Diana’s itemization may change to a more damage-oriented setup instead of the current Attack Speed+durability.
The Ashe and Tryndamere composition will lose traction and likely become playable in the perfect spots. You will need the ideal item components, Tryndamere early, and combat augments to supplement your lower level. Two traits to keep an eye on in the next patch are Noxus and Zaun. The traits and the units themselves receiving buffs may catapult them into a dominant spot in the Teamfight Tactics meta. The emblem buffs could make them too powerful, but we will need to see how the meta transpires.
