After a relatively successful Renegades launch, Bungie is coming under fire. In the recent TWID, Bungie announced the continuation of NotSwap in the Equilibrium Contest Dungeon. The Endgame community is outraged, given that their feedback has been against the inclusion of NotSwap. The addition is not the recent decision that has angered players. The recent Armor Charge change, patching raid exploits, and the removal of players’ ability to gamble for high-stat armor add to the pain points.
The NotSwap modifier was first introduced in PvP game modes. The Rite of the Nine was the first event that featured NotSwap. Many Endgame players detested its addition. It did not solve the issues of loadout swapping. Bungie took another pass at NotSwap in the Epic Desert Perpetual Raid after further complaints about the requirement to loadout swap mid-boss fight. Even with the changes, players hated the system. Now, a handful of days before the Equilibrium Contest Dungeon goes live, Bungie announced NotSwap’s continuation. The community has taken to Social Media to voice their frustration, with many feeling unheard.
Shortly before Destiny 2 came online for Renegades, they released the patch notes for the expansion. Players noticed a change to the Armor Charge. The change read as follows: “Equipping an armor mod that causes Armor Charge to decay now removes any current stack of Armor Charge if it wasn’t already decaying.” While it targets loadout swapping, it hurts solo players the most, for no reason.
With the release of Renegades, Bungie patched multiple raid exploits. Players could no longer drop the cores in Taniks, nor destroy Praetorian’s shields with Volatile damage. These changes made soloing these raids impossible. The two discoveries made players wonder if Bungie wants less Solo play in Destiny 2, despite encouraging it before.
Destiny 2 Players discovered a homeless Dreg in the Tharsis Outpost. You could give him Credits in exchange for a chance at armor or a Praxic Blade Core. The armor could have around 40-50 points in one stat. Endgame players looked to farm for ideal armor for the upcoming Contest Dungeon. Bungie has announced that it is unintentional and has increased the Credits while they work on a fix. Players who did not get the armor pieces are now left out. Will Bungie remove the pieces that players have already acquired?
