Canyon tries to gank the Bot Lane, but Keria and Gumayusi are able to weather it by burning Heal and Ghost, respectively.
GEN.G secures the 1st Drake (Cloud) uncontested.
Canyon heads Top and ganks Doran with Kiin. Doran uses his Ultimate to escape into his Red Jungle, taking Canyon with him. Oner is there waiting for them. Though he gets Impaled, Canyon survives and is able to get away. No one dies, but with Canyon now low, T1 are able to take all 3 Voidgrubs uncontested.
After taking the Grubs, Oner heads back to the Top Lane to gank Kiin with Doran. They slam him into a wall, and Oner gets the kill.
Early Game ends with GEN.G slightly ahead in gold by 300. They are also ahead in farm.
Canyon returns to Top Lane, again, to gank Doran. This time, he succeeds, and Doran dies to Kiin. Both Chovy, Duro, and Faker TP in, but they arrive too late to really do anything.
It’s a race for 1st Turret. T1 targets the Outer Bot, and GEN.G the Outer Top. T1 wins the race and gets a kill on to Kiin, who was trying to defend the Turret (Gumayusi gets the credit).
T1 secures the 2nd Drake (Mountain) uncontested.
Both teams set up around Rift Herald. Keria engages with GEN.G but gets deleted by Chovy. T1 back off, and GEN.G secures the objective. They use the Herald almost immediately in Mid Lane to take the Outer Turret.
GEN.G trades T1’s Inner Top Turret for the 3rd Drake (Infernal).
Mid Game ends with GEN.G still ahead in farm and gold (now by 2.5k)
T1 starts up the Atakhan, but Faker gets caught out in the Mid Lane by Duro and Ruler. He dies to Ruler, and T1 immediately back off the objective.
As both teams hover around the Atakhan, Doran TPs into the Top Lane, and a fight breaks out. Kiin is the first to die, dropping to Gumayusi. Keria and Doran follow swiftly after as they both fall to Chovy. Gumayusi and Oner both die to Ruler, leaving the respawned Faker the only member of T1 on the map. Fight goes 4-1 for GEN.G, who immediately takes the Atakhan.
While T1 regroup, GEN.G are able to take the 4th Drake uncontested.
GEN.G starts up the Baron. T1 attempts to contest but gets engaged on and taken low. Oner gets into the Baron Pit and Impales Ruler but gets deleted by Kiin. Chovy is able to take down Gumayusi, Ruler drops Doran, Chovy kills Keria, and Faker TPs to safety. Fight goes 4-0 for GEN.G, who also secures the Baron off the back of it.
With only Faker up, GEN.G are able to march into the T1 Base through Mid, taking structures as they go, kill Faker (Kiin gets the credit), and end the game.
GEN.G ends the game at 28:54 with an 11.9k gold lead. The final score is 13-3 for GEN.G.
The game was going well for T1. But then, everything changed when the Rift Herald was attacked. Keria tried to go in and disrupt, but this only led to him dying and GEN.G starting to get tempo. The real game-ending problem, however, was Faker getting caught out in the Mid Lane. T1’s positioning and calls in this game were not the best.
