If you’re a horror freak like me, you’ll be glad to know that Tormented Souls 2, a direct continuation of the previous game, just announced a release date during Gamescom 2025, and it’s coming real soon. This survival horror game is coming October 23, 2025, and here’s all you need to know.

Tormented Souls 2 Trailer

The trailer starts with narration from the main protagonist of the game, Caroline, who explains that her sister Anna, who is haunted by horrible visions, goes missing after the events of the first game. The trailer gives off such Silent Hill vibes, revealing all the gruesome human-esque creatures you have to fend off while searching for Anna through the hellish landscape you wake up in. The graphics look amazing, the gameplay, from what I can see, is similar to the first game, with a mix of exploration, combat, and puzzle-solving. The monsters look absolutely gross with the stapled-up flesh and limbs attached to every surface of the body.

The main protagonist, Caroline Walker, is back fighting to survive another nightmare to try to find and help her sister. Using her supernatural powers of switching between realities and fighting off enemies using makeshift weapons like a nailgun and chainsaw (just what you need to kill monsters), we should expect some positive reactions from gamers. The puzzles are intricate, gameplay is flexible, and the story is complex with many twists and turns to keep us engaged.

Release and What to Expect

Tormented Souls 2 is set to release on October 23, 2025, on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. It will be a direct sequel to the previous installment, and a demo of the game is available to play now on Steam. The demo only gave us a snippet of what we can expect from the game. Players who have already experienced the game through the demo are excited for the sequel to come out in a couple of months and experience it in its entirety.
