Movistar KOI faced elimination for the second time, but managed to stave it off for another day. They survived a scare from Team Secret Whales in the Worlds Swiss Stage. The LCP’s second seed is now out of the competition. GenG Esports asserted their dominance against Top Esports to qualify for the Bracket Stage. TES will have one more chance in the 2-2 Bracket after starting the Worlds Swiss Stage with a 2-0 record.

Worlds 2025: Movistar KOI Versus Team Secret Whales

The LEC’s second seed crumbled in the first game of the series. Supa was caught on multiple occasions, giving over a significant lead to TSW. MKOI had an early lead thanks to Elyoya and Jojopyun, but the mistakes from Supa and Alvaro capitulated the game. Supa struggled for the rest of the series, but thankfully for him, Elyoya and Jojopyun stepped up to carry MKOI over the line against TSW. If MKOI wants to stand a chance in the 2-2 bracket, Supa must improve.

Worlds 2025: GenG Esports Versus Top Esports

The second series of the day was a beatdown. GenG did not relent at any point. Every team fight was either in their favor or they made it closer than it should have been. Game one was the most dominant, with every team fight being a 5-0 ace. The number of times that a GenG player lived on low health was impossible to count. They played on the edge to squeeze out as much as they could. TES could never compete, and all the players were individually outplayed in their roles.
