WWE 2K Returns To Nintendo Consoles After Eight-Year Hiatus
via 2K

The wait is finally over. After an entire console generation, 2K has finally released another mainline WWE video game on a Nintendo console. It confirmed the news that WWE 2K25 would be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 earlier this year. Now the long wait for the series to return to a Nintendo platform has finally come to an end, and all three editions of WWE 2K25 are available now on Switch 2.

WWE 2K25 Arrives On Nintendo Switch 2

The Switch 2 version of WWE 2K25 couldn't launch at the same time as the game did on other platforms, as Nintendo's new console wasn't available until last month. Now it's here, you can buy the standard edition for $69.99, the Deadman edition for $99.99, or the Bloodline edition for $129.99. Listings for all three are live on the Switch 2's eShop right now, both online and through the console's store.

The finer details of how well WWE 2K25 performs on Switch 2 will become clearer over the coming days when people get the chance to play it. 2K seems pretty confident with the game, though, as it has released the full version similar to the one that's available on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S, presumably with slightly scaled-back graphics.

There are technically two versions of WWE 2K25, and some might have expected the lesser one to be rolled out on Switch 2. That's the last-gen version, which is also the one released on PC, which doesn't include The Island. The Switch 2 version does have The Island, however, along with everything else you get in the game on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles.

This Is Nintendo's First Mainline WWE Video Game Since 2K18

WWE and 2K will be very happy to be working with Nintendo again after being forced to sit on the bench for almost the entirety of the original Switch's run. WWE 2K18 released on Switch and ran so poorly that no other game got a Switch version. If you happen to have a Switch copy of WWE 2K18, good news, it now runs pretty well on the Switch 2. Perfect if you don't fancy dropping $70 on WWE 2K25 just yet.

The arrival of WWE 2K25 on Nintendo Switch 2 coincides with the release of the game's third DLC pack. The Fearless Pack is available now and adds five more Superstars to the roster, including Penta and Jordynne Grace. DLC is included with the Deadman and Bloodline editions of WWE 2K25, or can be bought separately or attained through the Season Pass if you have the standard edition.
