Lead the Sons of Calydon into a glorious future with the best Zenless Zone Zero Lucy build and show them what a princess can do. This Fire Support Agent summons allied units to the field of battle and increases the team’s offensive power at the same time.

  • Role: Support
  • Damage Type: Fire
  • Faction: Sons of Calydon
  • Rarity: A-Rank

Lucy can summon Guard Boars to the field, who’ll automatically attack enemies with ranked and melee moves. These units inherit their ATK and Impact stats from Lucy – and if she’s placed in a team with fellow Sons of Calydon members or Fire Agents, the Guard Boars get her CRIT Rate and CRIT DMG as well.

Using her EX Special Attack triggers Cheer On! – a powerful buff that provides all friendly units on the field (Guard Boars, Bangboo, and Agents) with additional ATK based on Lucy’s ATK. On top of this, it increases the attack speed of all Guard Boars, who also get more of a benefit from Cheer On!’s effects in terms of stat gains. Holding the EX Special Attack button leads to a longer buff duration.

Obtaining duplicates of Lucy fills out her Mindscape Cinema and bolsters her skills. Level 1 nets Lucy some Energy when her Guard Boars execute a certain move, Level 2 automatically triggers Cheer On! after Lucy used a Chain Attack or Ultimate. Level 4 adds a CRIT DMG bonus to Cheer On!’s effects. Level 6 generates an automatic follow-up attack by a Guard Boar whenever an ally buffed by Cheer On! hits an enemy with an EX Special Attack. This follow-up deals Fire DMG based on the Guard Boar’s ATK and increases the duration of Cheer On! – this can be triggered up to three times or up to a maximum length of 30 seconds.

Zenless Zone Zero – Lucy: best W-Engines

Kaboom the Cannon provides Lucy with vital Energy Regen, which will allow her to frequently use her EX Special Attack and provide the Cheer On! buff to allies. In addition, it contributes a teamwide ATK boost, which can be activated and increased by any unit on the team.

Best W-Engines for Lucy:

  • Kaboom the Cannon (A-Rank)
  • Weeping Cradle (S-Rank)
  • Unfettered Game Ball (A-Rank)
  • Slice of Time (A-Rank)
  • [Reverb] Mark II (B-Rank)

Zenless Zone Zero – Lucy: best Drive Discs

Since Lucy’s Guard Boars can inherit stats like Impact, CRIT Rate, and CRIT DMG from her in addition to ATK, feel free to stack as much of those as you can on her to increase their effect in battle. Of course, ATK should be your main focus, since this will increase the buffs provided to allied Agents. If you feel like you don’t have Energy to trigger Cheer On! regularly, replace Impact on Partition 6 with Energy Regen.

Best Drive Disc sets for Lucy:

  • Hormone Punk (4) + Swing Jazz (2): +10% ATK, +25% ATK for 10 seconds for the wearer after they enter combat (can trigger every 20 seconds), +20% Energy Regen.

Best Drive Disc stats for Lucy:

  • Partition 1 – HP (Primary), ATK %, CRIT Rate %, CRIT DMG %, ATK
  • Partition 2 – ATK (Primary), ATK %, CRIT Rate %, CRIT DMG %, Anomaly Proficiency
  • Partition 3 – DEF (Primary), ATK %, CRIT Rate %, CRIT DMG %, ATK
  • Partition 4 – ATK % (Primary), CRIT Rate %, CRIT DMG %, ATK, Anomaly Proficiency

Zenless Zone Zero – Lucy: best teams

Lucy is a fairly universal Support Agent with her mix of offensive buffs, damage output, and even Daze infliction.

  • Nekomata (Main DPS), Piper (Sub DPS), Lucy (Support)
  • Bangboo: Bangvolver

Nekomata wants quick stints on the field and benefits from Piper’s quick Anomaly Buildup, which makes them a solid combo to build a team around. Lucy doesn’t need all too much active time on the field and can somewhat fill in for the lack of a Stun Agent in this team thanks to her Guard Boars attacking all the time. Of course, she provides juicy ATK bonuses benefiting both Piper and Nekomata.

Keenan Allen's return to Bears seems possible now

Following the selections of tight end Colston Loveland in the first round and wide receiver Luther Buden III in the second round of the 2025 NFL Draft, it seemed that the idea of Keenan Allen’s return to the Chicago Bears for the upcoming season was dead. Last year, the Bears traded a fourth-round pick to the Los Angeles Chargers for Allen to come to Chicago on the final season of his contract. Allen said he planned to choose between the Bears and a team in Los Angeles during free agency this offseason. The Bears are looking for a wide receiver No team has signed the veteran receiver. Allen is coming off a season where he recorded 70 receptions for 744 yards and seven touchdowns. The Bears signaled they’re not done looking for wide receiver help before training camp practice begins on Wednesday. On Monday, reports surfaced that Chicago visited with former Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver DJ Chark. Chark met with the Bears NFL.com's Christian Gonzales suggested that Chark could be available for the Chargers after Mike Williams announced his retirement from the league last week. “There is an opening for Chark to pursue a possible reunion with the Chargers after veteran wide receiver Mike Williams informed the team this week that he is retiring from the NFL," wrote Gonzales. “Only time will tell if Chark gets a call from the Bolts or another team in search of a crafty veteran wideout. If he does, Chark says he’s still staying in shape.” Allen’s name immediately came up as an option for the Chargers when Williams’ announcement became public. If the Chargers decide to give quarterback Justin Herbert a familiar pass catcher by signing Chark, it would make sense for Allen to be in the mix to join the Bears in 2025. After all, the Bears let the league and Allen’s agent know they’re looking for a veteran receiver.

Fans React to Potential 8-Year Deal for $50M Oilers Defenseman

As the Edmonton Oilers map out their long-term roster under GM Stan Bowman, a critical decision looms on the blue line: Should they sign defenseman Jake Walman to an eight-year extension? Walman, acquired earlier this offseason, is coming off a strong campaign and is currently playing on a $3.4 million deal. With free agency already a few weeks in, the defenseman eligible for a new deal, and his stock rising, now may be the Oilers’ best—and most cost-effective—window to lock him in before the bidding war begins. In a recent Oilers Nation piece, Tyler Yaremchuk highlighted the logic behind acting now. Because Edmonton holds his rights, they’re the only team that can offer Walman an eight-year deal under the current CBA. If everyone waits until the end of the season to sign an extension, a new CBA kicks in, maxing out his extension at seven years with the Oilers and six years with another team. That extra term could be key in securing a discount on average annual value. A deal in the $6-8 million range, perhaps eight years at $56 million, would give Walman financial security into his late 30s—especially appealing given his career earnings total around $12 million to date. From the Oilers’ perspective, it could be a shrewd move to secure a top-four defender at below-market value. The question about committing to an eight-year term is a valid one, however. Reaction to the Idea of a Long-Term Deal for Walman So what do fans think? Reactions to the idea have been mixed, though many see the upside. “Yup, would love for the Oilers to lock him up long-term,” one fan wrote, clearly seeing Walman as a stabilizing force on the left side of the defense. Another agreed: “This makes sense. He is probably our top 4 LD for the foreseeable future.” Others, however, voiced concern about term and age. “I’d be leary signing a 30-year D for 8 years @ $6M per year,” one commenter warned. “Yeah, other teams might be willing to do it but it still doesn’t make it a good deal. I like Walman, but in 5 years, this contract could look like an albatross.” That push and pull—between locking in a valuable piece now or risking future regret—is one Bowman and the Oilers must weigh carefully. If Walman continues to perform at a top-four level and the salary cap keeps climbing as expected, a $6 million extension could quickly look like a bargain. This, even if Walman isn’t effective for all eight seasons. But if his play declines into his early-30s, the back half of that deal could make the Oilers regret taking the gamble.

Celtics Expected to Make Another Trade After New Comments From Executive

The Boston Celtics' priorities were already apparent before making the trades they did. Because they wanted to get under the NBA's second tax apron, the Celtics were willing to downgrade some of their players to get under it. That's why the Celtics traded Jrue Holiday for Anfernee Simons and Kristaps Porzingis for Georges Niang. It is a talent downgrade, but it helped Boston achieve their goals of getting under the second apron, even if those players aren't as good as Holiday or Porzingis. However, those trades only helped Boston get closer to being under the NBA's second tax apron, but it didn't get them under completely. Boston signed a few more players this offseason, including Luka Garza, Josh Minott, and Hugo Gonzalez. While these players are on inexpensive contracts, combined, they are enough to keep the Celtics above the NBA's second tax apron. That's why Boston isn't done making moves. Spotrac's Keith Smith revealed in an interview with a Boston Celtics executive that more trades will follow because they are still above the NBA's second tax apron. “Still figuring it all out. As you’ve noted, we’re still above the second apron. We won’t finish there," the Celtics exec told Smith. As far as how the Celtics will do that is anyone's guess. They may trade Anfernee Simons for someone who makes less than him. They may trade Niang's contract to a team that can absorb it via trade exception. They may even trade Sam Hauser or Payton Pritchard to do it. Regardless, more moves are coming for the Celtics.

Tyrann Mathieu retirement highlights compelling Hall of Fame case

One question remains after New Orleans Saints safety Tyrann Mathieu announced his retirement. How long until Canton calls? On Tuesday, the 12-year NFL veteran revealed he was retiring, effective immediately, ending the New Orleans native's legendary football career. In a statement published to social media, the three-time first-team All-Pro wrote, "As I hang up my cleats, I'm filled with gratitude as I close this chapter of my life and officially retire from the game that's shaped me in every way. "From my first snap in college to my final play in the NFL, this journey has been nothing short of a blessing." He's a surefire first-ballot Louisiana Sports Hall of Fame honoree, breaking out while at LSU (2010-11). During his freshman and sophomore seasons, he forced 11 fumbles with eight recoveries, four interceptions and four total touchdowns while finishing fifth in Heisman voting in 2011. Mathieu was dismissed from the team in 2012 after failing multiple drug tests and then was arrested on marijuana charges, but he didn't allow that to define his career. Instead, he carved out what could be considered a Pro Football Hall of Fame resume, too. Mathieu ends his professional career with 838 tackles, 100 passes defended and 36 interceptions. In addition to being named first-team All-Pro three times, he received three Pro Bowl honors and was a member of the Hall of Fame All-2010 Team. Mathieu also won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs in February 2020. Per Mathieu's Pro Football Reference's Hall of Fame Monitor score (65.2), he has a below-average case for enshrinement, with the average Hall of Fame defensive back scoring a 96.93. But players have received a gold jacket with worse scores in the PFR metric, including John Lynch, Eric Allen and Dick LeBeau. While he might have to wait past his first ballot to make it into the Hall of Fame, it would be a shame if Mathieu didn't one day receive his flowers. It certainly helps his case that in addition to being one of the greatest safeties of his generation, Mathieu was, by all accounts, just as outstanding off the field. NewOrleans.Football's Nick Underhill and Arizona Cardinals insider Kyle Odegard, who covered Mathieu when he played for the Cardinals, were among the media members to share fond stories about Mathieu. "One of those guys who really respected the job we do and would take the time to explain the game," Underhill shared. "He an all-world talent and the most accessible, genuine, introspective superstar I've ever met," Odegard wrote. It could take longer than five years, but it should surprise no one if one day Mathieu receives Hall of Fame recognition. He is the Honey Badger, after all. He takes what he wants.
