Without question, Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball this season is a must-watch event, as the games have been fun for fans. Attendance is through the roofs it shows that fans are here for basketball and women’s sports. Back to the games, Games 15 and 16 showed how amazing the talent in all facets of the sport. That being said, here’s a recap of the second doubleheader of Week Three.
In this game, team Orange, led by forward Maddy Siegrist, looked for another win facing guard Maya Caldwell and Team Purple, who were winless. The first quarter went in favor of Team Purple by a 26-11 score.
However, Siegrist’s squad won the final three frames by a combined 61-56 but Caldwell’s team won the game 82-72. This marked the second time since last March that a team lost three quarters and picked up the win. It was Caldwell’s first win as a captain in Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball.
Caldwell and fellow forward Alysha Clark combined for 40 points as they were the MVP 1 and 2 of the game, respectively. Caldwell scored 19 points with nine rebounds while Clark posted a double-double with 21 points and 14 rebounds. For Clark, it was her first career double-double in Athletes Unlimited Basketball.
It’s important to note that all five starters for Team Caldwell reached 10+ points, just the second team to accomplish the feat: guards Tyasha Harris (14) and Sydney Colson (12) and forward Dorie Harrison (11) added 11 boards as well.

Despite being on the losing end, Siegrist took MVP 3 honors as she scored 23 points along with 11 rebounds. It was her eighth straight game with an MVP honor and her 20th consecutive contest with 10+ points. Guard Shey Peddy complimented Siegist with 20 points, going 62.5% from the field.
All things considered, there have been many highly contested games in Season Four and one can this game to the list. Team Blue, led by forward Isabelle Harrison, squared off against Odyssey Sims and Team Gold where both teams were excellent. Team Blue took three of the four quarters of this game as Team Gold won quarter number three 23-13.
In the end, that was the difference as Sims’ squad won by three, 84-81. Once again, a team leading three quarters of the game did not win the game.
For the 24th time in her illustrious Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball career, Sims was a Game MVP: this time MVP 1. She also reached her 13th career double-double (the most all-time) with 26 points and 12 assists in the victory. It was her second time this season and 12th time with 10+ assists in a game. Teammate Kierstan Bell took home MVP 3 honors with 18 points and six rebounds as Evina Westbrook added 11 points.

Harrison eclipsed 1,000 career MVP points as she garnered MVP 2 honors with a 23-point, 13-rebound effort. What’s more, her performance marked game No. 20 of her Athletes Unlimited Pro Basketball career with 20+ points, the third player to get to that mark. Guard Lexie Brown went four of six from beyond the arc, getting 19 points for Team Blue. Finally, forward Alissa Pili scored 17 points in 27 minutes of action.
